I hear you.

I was close to buying a EcoBoost back in 2021 but decided to go for a more sensible alternative and picked up one of the last Fusions made as an ex-customer use car. It was the right car for me at the time. I would have enjoyed the S550, and four years later with four more years of experience on US roads, I'm almost certainly in a better place to drive the 2025 EcoBoost and not do something too stupid.
Do you regret missing out on the manual since they did away with that for the ecoboost? A neighbour has the High Performance version of the 6 speed ecoboost and it goes like hell….quicker than my 06 GT with the 4.6 in it…impressive for a turbo four and of course I’m jealous of his gas mileage lol….first time in it, I instantly felt a lot of mad respect for the ecoboost stang….they really have come a long way since they did away with the 3.7 V6

one of the s650e mules running around is a 4 hybrid turbo....doesn’t mean that it will go into production though

Glenn, this was my 2015…..silver as well no stripes ….it was nice but the 25 blows it away I think

Don't knock it. 2015 was a good year, and the design has aged well. There were many production years for the Mustang where I thought, ”What is wrong with Ford?” 2015 is not one of them! Glenn

Sort of. I am glad I didn't have the choice, because whilst I miss driving a manual, I also commute in the Mustang and there's a certain charm in putting the transmission into "D" and loping along. I'm under no illusions that the ten-speed is as engaging as the manual (it isn't) but it's a little easier to live with and the majority of my time spent in the car will be the daily grind, I mean, commute, and road trips.

The 2.3 is... interesting. From a simple perspective, I think the GT's biggest problem is that the EcoBoost exists, and the EcoBoost's biggest problem is that the GT exists. If only one were available (like in the UK) it isn't a bad choice! One burbles and snorts and sounds like it's going to eat you, the other whistles, whines, and snuffles like a pug dog that needs to go walkies. Both have that delightful ability to hang the back end out with electronics that make you feel like a hero, and the ability to eat up the miles on the Interstate at evening officer speeds.

But just my two cents. I'm glad I bought the base model because it's been exactly the experience that I hoped it would be and it gets better up the range...

I have the same exterior specs as you in oxford white, and am just getting blue aftermarket stripes installed this week. I generally haven't been a fan of the stock stripes, but I think they look really great on your iconic silver! The overall look really pops!

Thanks. Appreciate the kind words. It was dumb luck that the one I wanted meant this was the only thing local with the stripes and I too think they make the car especially from the front.
Looking forward to seeing pics of yours with that blue stripe!

You will love that!!! I bought a BW shift knob, as well as an MGW DH full shift system.

Great operational experience.

What’s the DH shift system? I notice you don’t have a reverse lockout…do you push down now and then upper left?
Not trying to be a dick, quite the opposite, but some touchless car washes have such high pressure they still hurt your clear coat. FWIW. Nice car, congratulations!!

I am also happy to back in the 5.0. Did not realize how much I missed this (I had a 2018 Lightning Blue GT Premium with the Performance Package)

Switched over to BMW for a few years and now I am back.

Seems to be a common theme of people switching between 5 litres and German….

I love M cars and mustangs which is insane. I grew up with a strong affinity for Japanese vehicles only to end up working for Ford and BMW respectively.

I am just a fan of great cars and for me the Mustang after the redesign in 2015 fits that bill. Nothing touched that design and power for the price IMO. It's how I felt about my 2023 M340i and most recently my 2024 M3 Comp

If I had a GTD I'd lick it clean.
I actually know somebody who secured a build slot but that was when it was like 200k….but he is getting it still…..don’t know if he went for the carbon fibre package though
