Thx.

Maybe @SteedaTech can let us know why all their anti-hop kits indicate they won't fit the DH if/when they do?
Ooooh I just remembered the vertical links that came with my stop the hop kit were not compatible with my Dark Horse (or any mustang with 2 rear calipers per side). I had to swap those out for the shorter GT500 style item 555-4130.

Well, OK, then -- mystery solved!

I wonder if they would let us swap those out (with or without an upcharge) as part of the "kit"?

I was 100% sold on a Dark Horse then got to test drive one and a GT back to back and realized I was paying an extra 13k or whatever (I got A/Z plan on GT) for just better handling.

Like you said OP the power difference between 486hp and 500hp can't be felt at all, especially since the GT is like 150lb lighter than the DH and I think actually has a better power-to-weight ratio.

If you're going to track the car, or just want to say you have something different than a GT then get the DH. If you're going to the drag strip or just want a fun daily get the GT.

After I drove them back to back I immediately eliminated the DH for contention, and was between a '23 Mach 1 still sitting on a lot and the GT. Ended up getting the GT because the Mach 1 had Recaros which I hate.
Actually the 470 or 480 hp S550 GT was faster at Car and Driver than the 500 hp DH...To be honest to me all these engines feel the same to me and the only difference are the numbers on paper...Having said that when I drove a 526 hp Vodoo on the same day as a 5.0 GT with only 470 or 480 hp the 5.0 felt much faster below 4000 rpm and then pretty much the same above despite the different numbers on paper !

I bought the Stop the Hop Ultimate Handling kit through Lethal and they coordinated the RMA with Steeda for me. I did have to pay the difference.

I have heard this same sentiment from others.

If you want to feel more power as these numbers no matter if early S550 430hp or now 10 years later 500 hp feel the same to the butt dyno FORD needs to invest in some new tooling ! As these Coyotes come down the same line that was introduced 33 years ! ago making then the all new 4.6 modular V8 Lincoln Continental allowing for only 93 mm bore...Like I said the Coyote needs more Bore/Displacement to get more Torque and feel stronger through the whole rpm range...The rest if 430 hp , 460 Bullit , 480/470 Mach 1 or now 480/486/500 is only felt on paper...IMHO As TORQUE makes the only difference you can actually feel ! And of course another 150-200 lbs extra in weight from the 550 to 650 make things not stronger...9.9 Zero to 100 compared to 8.8 Zero to 100 published by Car and Driver , DH vs 2016 gen-6 SS that is not that fast to begin with speak for itself as far as straight line performance goes despte the Camaro having only 455 vs 500 on paper hp !

All other things equal, higher HP means greater top speed. So, yes, you can fell and experience that.

Really thinking I may go with the Dark Horse non handling pkg and without Recaros.
This is the move I made as the Recaros lack some creature comforts. For me it was pretty simple, a GT without the TREMEC was a deal breaker. Although, I do like the GT options better.
