GT exhaust tip interior discolored a concern?

The inside interior appears to have black carbon while the exterior does not. I mean the exterior tips are dirty because I drive a mile down a dirt/rock road to get home, yet they do not show the same discolor as the interior tips. Is this normal or a concern? I have approximately 3500 miles on the vehicle.

Normal, nothing concerning.

Edit add - The color is medium to light grey dry carbon.... ish looking. That indicates a healthy engine.

When my cats started degrading, they turned light grey/white on the open exhaust side pipe. Boosted car.

The inside tips have the active exhaust valves in them, the outside tips do not. This explains the difference in color. To clean out that carbon, put it in track mode and let her rip.
