Ok, it must be a different recipe then. Did you ride in the 70's? Hondas and Suzukis? They still do use stainless and will stop quicker than the rider can.
Go for a drive. They'll be good as new in 2 minutes.Hey team. Getting kinda sick of looking at these nasty rotors.
anyone have any tips or tricks on how to prevent this?
Any preferred method on cleaning them off?
i feel like this happens after i pressure wash the ole boy……Do i just need to get one of those water deionizer canisters for a final rinse???
Would love to hear everyones thoughts!

Dude that is pretty funny about powder coating the brake rotorsIf you powder coated the rotors they won't rust. Other than that bare steel exposed to water will rust. Or you could get carbon ceramic one's.

I carry a can of color-matched spray paint from Ford. Every time I get out of the vehicle I hit them with a light coat of paint. They look amazing. It’s a little annoying having to do it every single time I drive the vehicle but it’s so worth it not having to look at rusty rotors.
Your a hoot. Spray painting your brake rotors? LoL love it.Holy macaroni ! Look at that rotor!! Is that from street salt that makes the rust look so thick on there? All rotors in all vehicles except carbon ceramic ones in exotic cars do this.

As was stated prior, take it for a spin! As soon as mine is hand washed I jump on the highway for 10-15 minutes and dry everything, including the convertible top. And I get to drive it again! GlennHey team. Getting kinda sick of looking at these nasty rotors.

2000's into 2010's. Honda and BMW's. No, I didn't ride in the 1970's.Ok, it must be a different recipe then. Did you ride in the 70's? Hondas and Suzukis?
Bloody patrol bikes just wouldn't stop, great for constipation.
Yep. This is just from the spray of wet salt from other cars driving next to where I park.Holy macaroni ! Look at that rotor!! Is that from street salt that makes the rust look so thick on there?
Those bikes probably carried a lot more weight than just a guy on a bike. I used to know a European bike dealer/owner and he quit selling bikes to the local police. because he was doing too much warranty work due to abuse and just plain stupid riders. Not all people should ever be on a bike.Ok, it must be a different recipe then. Did you ride in the 70's? Hondas and Suzukis?

Yep we had those too. Police gave up most of the bikes due to high maintanance costs. Urban enforcement has suffered badlyThose bikes probably carried a lot more weight than just a guy on a bike. Carbon Ceramics aren't that expensive. I've been running them for many years on various cars. The rotors will show surface rust. Like everyone is saying, just drive it around the block. That rust will be history.Carbon Ceramic rotors….that sounds expensive lol
