Has anyone ordered any Parts/Accessories directly from Ford.com? If so, what has been their turn around time? Are they slow? quick? How about if you have the part shipped directly to a dealership? Is that any quicker? Slower? Inquiring minds want to know...

A day or two from ordering to picking up at dealer. (I’ve only done two parts)

I ordered GT floor mats, front splitter, trunk mat, rear blackout panel, and rear spoiler all directly from Ford. Being in MD I was close to their warehouses and got nearly every item in 2 days. I waited like 3-4 days for the floor mats if I remember.

All parts shipped to my house directly.

They were also excellent with tracking and shipping notifications!

I bought the Air Design rear deck lid panel with my Rewards points through ford.com. I think that took a couple of weeks before it finally showed up.

Then in fact, after placing that order (like a couple of days later), I found the same panel with the Dark Horse emblem already installed on it and this one was supposedly a 'ford' part with a ford part number.
So I ordered that one too; and it actually arrived before the Air Design one ordered directly from ford.

Going through the dealer is usually same week, depending on what warehouse has the item you're looking for.

looks like shipping times heavily depends on warehouse and address location.

If I remember right, most of my parts ordered came from East Coast. I think New Jersey, which was only 2 states away.

Where did you get the panel with the DH emblem?

I'm not sure there is one answer.

Securing a part at a fair price. There's list price. Some dealers go above it, some below it. It's not unusual to find someone on-line with the part at a slight discount to list. I don't bother with my local dealer any more. Their price on OEM items is always higher than anywhere else. If the price with shipping is cheaper than the dealer, I embrace the wait.

Having the part and their turns. Dealers are constantly swapping stock with one another. My local Toyota dealer charges list and can have virtually anything in two days. Most Ford sites ship in 48 hours.

Getting the part to you. I ordered several vehicle and household items recently. Some have arrived in as little as three days; those shops often have depots and distribution center within 500 miles. Others, it's been 10 days; they'll probably arrive Monday. It depends. It's hilarious the routes some of our stuff takes. To the shipping company, they've got supercomputers determining the cheapest and most efficient route. But that doesn't mean it follows a logical path. Logical to us anyway.

I look more to pricing first, fair price or discount if I find it. If it arrives sooner, great. If not, that's OK to.

I understand some items there's no choice, in price or how sourced and shipping. Sometimes, there's just one way to get something.

I bought lowering springs. 4 business day delivery. Order a battery tender too, sadly was immediately put on national back order so I cancelled it.

Keep in mind if you order directly from Ford there is a 15% off coupon you can use. There is a new one very month. I don’t think ordering through a dealer enables that discount.

Where I work in a shop, I get my Ford stuff for 25% off usually, and since there is no Sales tax in NH I save there too, although I have a tax exempt number in MA because everything is sold to the shop and installed in NH, I gave up my FL tax resale because the amount of paperwork was brutal and made dealing with Lakeland Ford more trouble than their discount was worth (but I did get the OEM 5 spokes for my 07 GT for $94 a wheel and I could not beat that anywhere even with the $50 core charge that I ate to the tune of $200)

When I worked at TASCA Ford I got even better than that.

The shipping is the killer when you order online but there are many dealers that have online shops (@LevittownFordParts ) that offer decent discounts off MSRP and are reasonable o the shipping.

If the shipping exceeds the discount it isn't such a good deal is it

I always send an email off to Leavittown to see what they can do for me, I like to support dealers that support forums.

Every part I ordered directly from Ford was a basic $14.99 shipping for each item with like only $1.00 or $2.00 for each additional item if ordered at the same time. I ordered the rear spoiler and front splitter and combined shipping was like only $16.99 if I remember right.
