Hi all,

What are everyone’s thoughts on whether Ford Australia will bring another allocation of Dark Horses into Australia? Anybody heard any rumours one way or another?

I haven’t heard anything, but on the premise that the Dark Horse would be a limited edition in Australia (like the S550 Mach 1), they commanded a premium that might be argued having been a scam if more were imported. Unless the next Dark Horse imported into Australia would be substantially different (like the DH SC?), I doubt FOMOCO would open itself to potential litigation arguing the point.

Thanks for your reply - an interesting take. Im
not sure they’d be facing litigation for bringing a further run in though - I doubt they said in the initial release that it was a once only run forever, it’s an ongoing production run in the US. But I’m def not an expert in the field!

Most dealers I’ve spoken to think there will definitely be a further higher performance model coming in, but as to what form that will take is an unknown at this stage.

Pretty cheeky of Ford to now offer the Darkhorse again, even though it was termed a "special edition" for Australia.

For the record, they are offering the standard Darkhorse as well as the 888 version.

Wow, you don't get much for the extra 34k you're forking out for the 888 version.

4k worth of goodies and 30k worth of bragging rights

250 stock DH's - wonder if they will allow people to order colours, transmissions, seats or upgrade to Handling package - or if already pre allocated to dealers like last time.....tried build app and does not mention DH as an option.

250 T8 models will be offered in avalanche grey with upgrades - effectively US offered handling package (Deck wing with gurney, front splitter and fatter wheels), with appearance package (black painted roof, blue leather interior) and Recaro's in avalanche only with blue badging........if anyone doesn't want the wheels and rubber, will buy them for track days :clap: still 19" DH style rims but 315 rear and 305 front Trefeo's

US prices for Handling package $5400 AUD $7714
US prices for appearance package $2500 AUD $3571
US prices for recaro's $1900 AUD $2714

Fair price mark up between stock and special edition ($139k excluding obligatory charges), using 2024 price and add ons will be around $155k for T8 drive away and around $118k for Stock DH drive away - but don't quote me on those prices if you are budgeting for one.

I would guess that there will be a few of the T8 options available........I rekon the stock ones will be spoken for the day they are released.
