And I can't see anyone with a mortgage (mid 30's - early 50's) spending that much on a car that will last ~10 years.
Maybe a pair of DINK executives that foolishly think they're saving the world.

Anyone with half a brain will be waiting for vanadium batteries to become viable.

thats strange. My dealer said that dealers have nothing to do with Mach e. its all ordered online all they do is delivery with the buyer..

In the meantime, the current Batteries only last 10 years (then the whole car is effectively a write-off due to the cost of replacement), and EV Production will rapidly extinguish ALL the known world reserves of Lithium and even Copper is in doubt!

Yeah, and those expired EV batteries, most of which end up in landfill.
Can't wait to see Adam Bandt's face when that reality sinks in.

Don't get me wrong, I'm quite happy for other people to buy EVs.
I have a reasonable holding in Pilbara Minerals, Australia's largest lithium miner.

It typically takes 7 years to establish a new mine, so I don't know where all these delusional fools think the essential raw materials are magically going to come from to satisfy production requirements.

Also invested in Hydrogen, as it's a no-brainer that our trucking fleet that covers our huge country will necessitate this, and the USA is the same. Electric prime movers will never be a thing here.

Plenty of sun, so charging them during the day won't be a problem either.

But I don't think Christmas Island is large enough to accommodate all the Utopia seeking nutters.
