Going to use my ford pass points on a ford performance X-pipe. My only concern is I see a lot of posts saying the exhaust tips droop after an x-pie installation because of the way it connects using the butt style connection. I'm sure there are tons of users here that have done this mod. Is this something that if you take your time and align before tightening is not an issue, or is this just the price of having an x-pipe that bolts on that way?

Bought my x pipe from Steeda and has very nice slip connectors. Install is very straight forward.
It's also about 15 lbs lighter as well and sounds great even with the stock active exhaust that I have.

I saw those clamps on steedas web site. Might have to just buy those as the ones that come with the frpp dont look as heavy duty. To bad steeda doesn't accept Ford pass points......lol

I would highly advise the Steeda H-pipe with the Steeda HD clamps over the FRPP X-pipe especially on an S650.

Yeah i agree i have always had good luck with steeda parts but the ford pass points make the frpp one almost free.... I will just have to buy the steeda clamps.

I installed the Steeda H-pipe. Cut the factory pipe using a chain style exhaust cutter for a clean square fit so when the clamps are installed, the H-pipe butts against the factory pipe — no sag. Clamps worked perfectly and it sounds great. The Steeda pipe is nice quality.
