@hoodscoops ..... hard to tell from your pic but if so Ford has confirmed what many of us thought that the holes would be a source of serious frame/undercarriage damage. If Ford did revise the fender liners on the 2024/2025 Mustangs then kudos to them for correcting a mistake. I would think the next step would to be a mass order from Hein at DIYvan.com for the repair kits and a installation credit for owners at their purchasing dealership.

I think you would be dreaming. Ford reserves the right to make design changes that can happen during production. This would include hardware, software and materials used.

Can anyone confirm? Looks like its gone
That is the area where the hole used to exist. Looks like Ford has made a patch piece with the same material as the liner. I've circled the patch in the photo you uploaded.

I really don't understand the obsession over this.
The problems these holes will cause will not be evident for years to come. If these Mustangs last into the future and become somewhat collectable these holes will be a point of interest to buyers in the know. Hey John Doe I see you bought one of those 1st year S-650's. I hope you checked to be sure the fender liner holes were covered by the original owner. If not, you may find some extensive rot under the panels. John Doe then ponders what body shop to use and what he should do with his new found rock collection. Not knocking your post but the fender liner hole issue really is an issue.

Welp, here's your $5,000 price bump for model year 2025.

DIY looks like it might hold up better over time. This could still let rocks, debris, etc..., behind it. Solely my opinion

@GrabberB ..... respectfully, your comment shows a lack of education on this topic. You might be slightly better off in Virginia but costal owners and owners where salt/brine is used on the roads will see an immediate problem as has been shown repeatedly.

It never fails to astound me how people can pretend to speak with authority on a topic they have obviously done no research on and therefore haven't a clue what they are talking about. I have to presume that people keep posting this particular topic just for the fun of trolling for stupid answers that they can share with friends and family for laughs.

in ny a car is lucky to last 10 years in the salt if you dont wash it off but in nc they probably don't use much salt

makes you wonder if the salt is worth it all the damage it does to cars and infrastructure
vs people just buying a set of winter tires

i don't drive my DH in the winter and have nokin hakkapeliitta r5s for my winter car
i still wash the salt off my other car its now 18 years old
