wow my 2024 was only $1595 for shipping

Another reason I am glad I didn't wait for a 2025

And I bought mine in NH, where I put 1000 miles on it in 2 months, had the oil changed then drove/auto train'd it to FL (700 miles) to avoid the FL sales tax of $3700
According to the Florida Dept of Revenue, sales tax is due on any vehicle purchased out of state and registered in FL. If you pay any sales tax where you buy it, you're only required to pay the difference between what you paid out of state and the 6% Florida sales & use tax.

That is why it is registered in my legal state of residence, which is NH

I tried to buy it in FL but was going to get nailed on the tax

Tried to buy a used one wholesale, cash deal, on my NH Dealers license which I would have picked up with my Dealer plate, insurance binder and a wire transfer, still no go. Dealer would not play ball even when I offered him his retail price. I buy cars in FL to send north all the time on my NH dealers license with no problem.

Just the insurance costs for my fleet should I decide to declare FL residency would kill me

The 2 bikes are $300/yr in NH, full coverage, $300 wouldn't get me 6 months on 1 bike if insured here

Just be glad you don’t live in or near a car theft sanctuary. You know, where the local PD’s and S/O’s only take over the phone reports for stolen vehicles. Not mentioning any names, like... San Antonio. And count your blessings if you don’t live close to the Mexican border, so the Cartels put bounties on vehicles - particularly super crew trucks. This, plus the chicken **** PD’s who are too self absorbed to be bothered with vehicle thefts = insurance rates about 2x the national average.

I feel like it's an empty statement. It'll be applied on certain cars, based on availability, etc. Not across the board.

It would appear that, as long as you order by June 2, you qualify for the promotion. From the Ford website: "Place a new retail order or take new retail delivery from an authorized Ford Dealer or Lincoln Retailer’s stock by 6/2/25." So, if I'm reading this right, you could place an order before the deadline and still get the deal when the car arrived after the promotion ends. I just thought I would post this as there seems to be some confusion about this.

This is correct. Promotion applies to eligible vehicles on lots as well as when ordering. Price and incentives are locked it at time of order and deposit. Any additional incentives (i.e. Military / First Responders) that may be offered during build / delivery, could possibly be applied before buyer finalizes deal and takes delivery.

Anyone able to negotiate below "employee pricing"? (not counting rebates)

Since this is subsidized by Ford mothership, I take it dealers have more room to go.

Hoping to place a custom order, not sure how realistic it is to go lower. I figure a custom order is less work for the dealer, guaranteed +1 sale, zero effort, don't even PDI it for me, etc.

Actually since it comes from Ford, we have less leeway, not more. Never hurts to ask, but don't be surprised if thats it.

Last time I looked at this, you have to take delivery by June 2. I doubt ordering it today will get it to you dealer by June 2.

Please see post #80. As long as you place new order before the deadline ( June 2), you will get employee pricing. It does not matter if your ordered car is not delivered before June 2.
If you take a dealer stock, you will need to take deliver before June 2 to get the employee pricing.
I went to several dealers and none are willing to go below employee pricing.
Many dealers are thinking that they are making an A plan business transaction as if you go in with the code. They use this mentality / excuse to not going any further down on the price. This employee pricing promotion is not an A plan business transaction but it is an A plan pricing make available to us public and dealer will get compensated with a coupon from Ford.
I really believe that they CAN go lower but they don’t want to. Because if they can gauge us during the COVID time with above MSRP. They set the price on selling cars and it sure can go either way.

I really appreciate Ford Motor company doing this promotion as to give the public an awesome opportunity to enjoy Ford product at a set/ awesome price without unnecessary haggle and hassle from the traditional dealer practices.

That’s the way I understand it.

Dealers can’t deviate a Penney. The price is set and locked in by Ford. When audited and found by Ford to be off the dealer loses its reimbursement.

Not exactly. Per Ford.com on Employee Pricing:
Offer available on the purchase or lease of the following eligible new 2024–2025 Ford and Lincoln vehicles ONLY: Mustang®, Escape®, Bronco®, Bronco Sport®, F-150®, F-150® Lightning®, Mustang Mach-E®, Maverick®, Ranger®, Transit® and E-Transit™ (Cargo Vans), Corsair® and Nautilus®; new 2024 Super Duty® (pickup models only), Expedition®, and Navigator® only; and new 2025 Ford Explorer® and Aviator® only. Excludes all Bronco Stroppe models, Raptor® models, Mustang Dark Horse®, Mustang GTD, all Super Duty chassis cab/cutaway models; also excludes 2025 Expedition®, Navigator®, and Transit® (Wagon). U.S. residents only. Prior purchases not eligible. A/X/Z/D Plan ineligible. Place a new retail order or take new retail delivery from an authorized Ford Dealer or Lincoln Retailer’s stock by 7/7/25. The 2025 Mustang Mach-E SUV inventory may be limited and may vary by location. See a participating dealer or retailer for details and current inventory status.

As long as the New Purchase Order is submitted by 7/7/25, you are covered, regardless of when if finally gets delivered. I ordered a Ranger 4/9/25, don't expect it till end of summer at the earliest.
