The rocking motion was another issue I was having with the vehicle. Ultimately between the clunking, the popping, the car rocking on start up as well as clunking when putting it into reverse, the service department found the leaking shocks and a bad transmission.
I see. Sorry that happened to you. Can I ask why the lemon law pursuit if they are fixing both issues under warranty?

I was saying that as a possible option, depending how long my car sits at the dealer before all the issues are resolved.

It’s already been out of Service for almost 14 days at the previous two dealerships trying to find/fixed the problems. It’s been at this dealer for over a weekend. Who knows how long it’ll take to get a new transmission?? In California, for Car is out of service due to the same problem for over 30 days, they qualifies as a lemon.

That is great they are willing to replace the trans without alot of fuss. Ive wondered about these 1 piece driveshafts that supposedly eliminate clunk. Not sure if DH's have those OEM or not

5000 miles into my 2025 dark horse with handling package and here’s what came up after the constant clunking/popping.

-Leaking rear shocks

-Ford approved the installation of a new transmission.

I have been complaining about this since the car was virtually brand new. Took it to two separate dealers who could not either figure it out or didn’t want to deal with it. Finally, went to a dealer who knew what it was right away.

The indication to me that it was transmission related was the fact that upon startup, my car would rock back-and-forth. Secondly, whenever engaging in reverse, the clunk was always there.

The random popping noise always seem to be coming from the rear wheels so I knew that was suspension related. Turned out to be leaking shocks ….two new ones have been installed.

Anyway, when this is all done onto the lemon law lawyers! I will post the service invoice upon completion so any and all of you who are having the same problem can take it to your dealers so they’ll know what’s going on
