Well, I had a real nutty afternoon. My 2025 DH had a flat on the left rear. I went to help a friend with his car and when I was ready to leave, my driver's side rear tire was flat! I'm at Costco getting it fixed. What kick in the teeth. It has just under 400 miles on those Pirellis. Fortunately it was in the middle of the tread. It's a 1/4" hex head screw.

That's just wrong on so many levels.

Construction seems to be hiring a lot of inexperienced folks who don't know how to keep their hardware on the truck. Wonder why that is?

At least they were repairable. Our GT86 had two Michelin Sports ruined, one had a boxcutter blade through the belts, the other had a plumbing fitting through the shoulder.

I had a screw get in the sidewall ~6 months ago and it had to be replaced. Then 2 weeks ago I got a low pressure warning and sure enough... another screw in the new tire! At least it was possible to patch this time.

Had the same right before my 550+ mile road trip to Ford performance driving school.

I plugged mine I will say the trofeo rs tires were the hardest tires I have ever plugged I was hammering on it with a 56oz dead blow to finally get it in

Luckily I have the automotive authority spare if anything did happen but it made the trip there and back no issue no pressure loss at all.

Did you put on a spare or use that filling kit?

Question for you.

I just bought a 25 60th and bought the Modern Spare. Now I believe I'll never get a flat. But back on topic. When I put it in the trunk, I had the compressor. Is there also supposed to be can of Flix A Flat or some equivalent? Part two, I notice in the styrofoam there appeared to a location for a Tow Hook / Tow Bolt. Was that supposed to be included too?

Yes my car had fix a flat inflator and the tow hook
Fix a flat was already in the trunk the tow hook was in the bag with the floor mats.

I did hear 25 discontinued the fix a flat kit and it was an option

And I believe tow hook is a dark horse only thing

Not even an inflator? Jeez, that's cheap.

Actually, my friend's house is only about 4 miles from our local Costco. I used his shop compressor and put in 40 psi, jumped in and made it to Costco with about 21 psi remaining. They weren't that busy and fixed it right away. I've had them fix punctures several times and have never had a problem. They dismount the tire, vulcanize a patch on the inside of the tire, remount it, and rebalance it. I got out on a highway and ran it up to about 97 mph, no vibration!

So repair it and drive. Tire dealers said take it’s okay, but manufacturers will always say replace because it sells tires.
