Finally in production!

I just received a text message from Ford that my Mustang has been built. Yesterday they told me it was delayed. I have to say I went from being sad to glad in less than 24 hours. Haha.

Text message? I don't even get emails anymore, I just check the website every two days . Congrats!!!

Yesterday when Ford sent the email about the delay, it said I could sign up for text messages which I did. The text message today came about 20 minutes before the email.

“Order ID:
0514

We want to provide you with the latest update on your Mustang GT vehicle order. We’ve made great progress on your new Ford vehicle but have unfortunately experienced unexpected delays.

Rest assured, our team is diligently addressing these challenges to complete your vehicle as soon as possible. We genuinely appreciate your understanding and patience during this time and will continue to provide regular updates every step of the way.”

Anyone else receive anything from Ford?

I did then checked the tracker and the car was built with an estimated delivery date of 9/23-9/29.

then I checked today and the estimated date had disappeared, so I don’t know what is going on

I got nothing from Ford but went to the production progress page and unbelievably my car is in production almost two weeks early
From what I've seen here on 7G it is unusual but welcome by me

You never know what is happening. I ordered my 2019 in September 2018. Then I got told in November they had bumped me because only the GT350s were getting the MageRides they had available. In December, my dealer had pulled some strings and got me allocated. They built my Mustang in January, but the sub-contractor in Mexico had gone on strike and there were no steering wheels. For 800 Mustangs, they put a temporary steering wheel on, drove the cars to dozens of Ford parking lots, then took the steering wheels back for more cars. When they ran out of parking lots, they stopped production until the strike was over. When they resumed, the production line got first priority. I didn't get my car until the end of April. (of course, the delay could have been waiting for the snow to melt so they could find the cars)

The tracker is glitchy, same thing happened to me which caused me to chat with ford directly. They confirmed that the car was indeed on its way to the dealer ahead of what the track was showing. And of course, after the chat session, the tracker miraculously was updated with the accurate information.

My car has not been built according to Fords tracking site!!!! How long from here for delivery?

It depends how long it sits waiting for a train car. Then how long it sits again after its unloaded in the yard for truck transport to the dealer. Mine only took 2 days time on the train ride to Phoenix. The rest was yard waiting. I would guess 3 weeks. Yards don't seem to work weekends.

I'm totally good with 3 weeks after waiting several months. Hoping it's not another 3 months. Does the tracker tell you where the car is after shipping?

The dealer can tell you. They have access. The tracker sometimes works. The Ford chat line can also help you.
