Sad you live in such a dangerous country.
Somebody activate Gregs24's sense of humor.

If that does not work, please inform him that the armed robbery rate of 1.18 per 1000 in England is higher than the armed robbery rate in the US (almost twice as high).

That is the robbery rate NOT armed robbery. There aren't enough guns here for that!

So factually incorrect again....

You're right. Google search was for "armed robbery," but it gave the the "robbery" statistics, which include unarmed robbery, a violent crime, but not necessarily always involving a weapon. Once I looked at the source link, this became clear.

Interestingly, however, so was the US rate. Also "robbery," meaning it included all offenses using force or threat of force and not just those involving a weapon, with firearms involved in only 36% of the cases.

So, almost twice as many "robberies" in England compared to the US would be more accurate.

I have given up looking for how many robberies involve knives in England, as "knife crime" gets its own little category and includes all kinds of things.

Nevertheless, I do not want to be robbed, whether with a firearm, a knife, or just physical force from 'unarmed" young, violent assailants.

Robbery is a violent crime, a forcible felony.

And the weapon of choice is a knife, or machete. Not sure why machetes are so common there, never saw a jungle when I visited.

It's enough, anyway. I crack a joke having nothing to do with England or the US, and he responds with some chip on his shoulder about the US. He is trolling the forum for some reason.

He's the only occupant on my ignore list.
He's actually quite a well balanced guy, has a chip on both shoulders.
To be fair, he has a lot to worry about, they're on their 7th PM in 10 years.
