Dual to Quad Exhaust Question.

Hey guys new here and finally got the dream car Ive wanted for the past 9 years.

Now like I an idiot I was in a hurry and got a mustang without active exhaust.

My question is that if there is an easy way without any welding or taking to a muffler shop? The dual exhaust just make me angry for no reason lol. I saw all the other threads on it. Im on a budget so that why I ask.

Active exhaust "can" be added, but not on a budget... Ford performance offers quad tip exhaust kits (non-active) that include the rear quad tip valance. But also may be a bit much if on a budget... but pretty simple clamp on install.

first part sorta second part maybe.

you can replace the cans or even just do a cat-back but the rear valance would either need to be swapped or cut/trimmed.

I too got my dream car back in October. I had all of the options I wanted except it came with non-active exhaust. We did not special order this car. Someone else across the state had ordered it then decided not to take it. Since the car did not have quad active exhaust we had Pypes bombs exhaust tips added so we wouldnt have to change the valance to fit quads. I am thrilled how it turned out.

Are you looking for Active Valve Exhaust (AVE) where the noise level can be controlled or just going to quad tips (two on each side) vs. dual tips (one on each side)? Adding true AVE to a non-AVE vehicle is difficult and requires aftermarket components to control the open/close state since the computer control can't readily be changed.
