What is a good drag radial tire brand and size?
Put the SC on and looking for a tire for the street. Will go to track but mostly driving local around town.

I have the Nitto 555rII for my track days. In 275-40x19 which is the same as the stock tire on the rear of my car with performance package. A smaller wheel won't fit the rear brakes.

Just put some Mickey Thompson ET Street s/s drag radials on another car (different size)... they hook up! They have several sizes in 19" that will fit the mustang.

I think I’m gonna skip drag radials and go straight to a Hoosier slick.
They make a 28/10/17, and 28/10/18.

no rainy days, little to no freeway.

Hope you have a new clutch, drive shaft, locker and axles then you will be fine. I also have a new Whipple supercharger that is getting installed at the dealer in three weeks. so those are the things I have been looking at needing to upgrade. Especially if your on slicks.

Slicks are FAR FAR FAR easier on driveline parts than drag radials.
But yes I have a whipple a 3.5 griptech and plan on putting a gt350 LH axle in.

all that aside… drag radials break far more parts than bias plys 💯

Haven't done any purge upgrades yet but the LH axle is on the list.

This may be true. But the cops up here in Canada won't let you run slicks on the street and I plan to drive to the track. Would love to trailer it but don't have a trailer.
