Hey guys I just got my s650 mustang a few months ago. Its my first mustang coming from a challenger v6 and I like it very much! Ive been using sports mode all the time and haven't really tried drag mode yet

as i was searching about drag strip mode i heard they shift really aggressive to the point that they can break loose your rear everytime it shifts especially on lower gears. Is it safe to try it on the street?

my question is if I do this on the street drag mode, 2nd gear 40 rolling speed and i hit it will i end up on a ditch? Better ask your opinion before finding it out the hard way 😂 (all tcs on of course)

The possibility of that happening depends on too many factors. Even the Torsen-equipped vehicles act different than the clutch type ones do.

You are correct about the Drag mode, but you left out the delayed shifting. In most cases (my opinion) the Sports mode stays in gear too long after the on-set of hard acceleration. The Drag mode shift cycles are almost glacial in its wait time. Personally, I use nothing but Sports mode, and I turn off both the traction and stability as best I can, short of pulling the Dyno plug. Mine is a 2024 Eco-Boost with the 3:15 rear and a FPT. It WILL swap ends on full throttle standing-starts if you don't know how to drive. The Torsen is even worse in this respect.

If I tried to push it on 40/2nd even tcs cannot save me? Considering roads are straight and tires are warm enough

You'll be fine unless your tires are bald. The GT drag mode shifts are crazy fast and can chirp tires but ive never broken loose. Just go straight and and maybe don't go full bore until you've gotten a feel for it.
