Mom pays cash for a used black Honda ; then decorated it with graduation balloons and a bow for her graduating daughter. The linked story doesn't say how the graduati0on present was actually given/delivered to the daughter........................but she got the gift somehow.

Subsequently; daughter texts mom; telling mom the Honda really isn't "her style" and says she doesn't want it and to sell it; then points out mom is driving a MB G Wagon. Blah, blah, blah! Per the linked article; the texts between mom and daughter got posted on Reddit (I didn't follow up on that).

That brings back memories. The one vehicle I ever got from my parents was when I was in the sixth grade. My mom bought the cheapest Huffy bicycles that K-Mart carried for my brother and me. My dad blew his top that she spent money on such a needless luxury. I really felt ashamed for getting my mom yelled at by asking for a bike.

Should be grateful she got a new ride. Although I would at least know the right color and options to get on the vehicle if I'm going to surprise someone.....if that was a factor in this case.

I have the same thought. My wife looooves reading these absurd reddit stories and all the comments too. I just go along with it and let her be entertained.

the silver parts of the front-left wheel aren't all the same, that same wheel's center cap isn't an "H" but some weird mess of silver, all the balloons are crinkled on the edges like they're all foil, the right mirror seems to be mounted on the door A pillar instead of below it, the ridges in the headlight are uneven and inaccurate, the bow placement would not cover up the whole front "H" badge, the rear-left wheel seems to curve into the center abruptly instead of smoothly like real pictures show, why are the DRLs on when the vehicle is stationary and off, and something about that reflection of the parking line just feels off to me as well
