Would you mind taking a picture of the power port by the mirror? I looked and couldn't see one on my car. I'm not sure if my car doesn't have one or I'm missing it in my dark garage. Base 2026 GT.
Technically it's not on the mirror, but on that whatever you want to call it where the forward facing camera is.

Thanks. I had another look and mine definitely doesn't have it. Maybe it came with the premium. For now I just have a wire dangling down to the USB port. But once the warranty is up I plan to run it through the headliner down the A pillar and plug it into the OBD2 port. That's what I did with my daily driver Mazda and my wife's Escape. It's pretty clean that way.

I have REDTIGER f17 elite
Plugs into the bottom of rear view / lane keeping stuff and works great. Unfortunately because I have vert I cannot use the rear camera. Have same camera in wife’s expedition and rear camera works great.

I have the Redtiger F17 Elite as well. With the rear camera I found that the USB doesn't have enough power and causes the camera to boot loop. Unplug the rear camera and it stays powered on just fine. Currently have it powered with the provided 12v power point, but will eventually install the hardwire kit that it comes with. Videos that come off of it are spot on with enhancements to read license plates. Also like the gps speed stamp on the videos.

The reason I purchased the Elite10 Darkvue was for its parking sensor and parking mode. Will activate in less than a second when someone walks up to the vehicle, and also has a battery mode to not drain the battery. Lastly, the Darkvue has one of the best cloud apps for dashcams.

Take a look from the outside of the windshield, it's on the driver side of that housing

Us base owners don't get a power port.
The internal wiring is different too, so all the Youtube tutorials on splicing in a plug to a 5-pin connector to power i.e. radar detectors don't apply to us either.
The rain sensor plug works, but you'll need a special adapter (from Amazon).

I have tried a lot of cameras from companies like Blackvue and the like, some are super slick and have unusual features when all I want is a dash cam that records on impact, always and by voice.

I have been using Garmin for years. Rock solid, and if you out two in, they talk to each other wirelessly. they just require power. for support and stability, Garmin.

My car is US and it has the port. It is included in 401 701 package. Not in base models.
