Dark Horse- What did you Mod today?

The right way, which involves removing the gauges/infotainment screen, a/c vents, and part of the center console; and the' f that shiznit' way of taking some masking tape, a rag, a small flat blade screwdriver, and just poppin' that b!tch out!

With a small screwdriver, you can get in there enough to pop the button off its tabs, but you do have to be careful that you don't mar up the area around the button.

I'm assuming you chose the latter route?

Did the following:
- Installed front license plate holder in tow hook location
- Replaced side reflectors with LEDs
- Installed Soler throttle controller

Later this week I am dropping my car off for:
- DH HP front splitter install
- Steeda H pipe install

I will post some pictures of the new splitter and the LED lights later in the week.

In most cases, I would agree that, yes a panel removal tool is the best option for taking things apart. But, in this case we're already talking about doing something the 'wrong' way and aside from possibly one of the 4 metal picks in a panel removal tool kit, I really don't think anything else there would be of much use in this case.

Is there far more risk involved by NOT taking the entire dash apart to get to the start/stop button? Absolutely! And I don't care what tool you use at that point. It is not the correct way to do it. Can you do it the way I did? Sure, but if you're not careful you will, as @smurfslayer suggested, f*** something up!

Well, she's been sitting since Oct due to 'climate change' in this part of the world and been uncovered for the last 6wks or so while I've been working on stuff. Once it goes for paint on the hood it'll get clean again!

For me it was purely aesthetics. I don’t plan to ever track the car.
As far as how they were made and installed, they are the factory grills with the centers cut out and the new aluminum mesh fitted and glued to them.
The mesh was purchased through customcargrills.com and they actually have pre-formed mesh for the GT at a reasonable price. They offer complete grills with the mesh already installed as well, but the price for that is astronomical.
Since nothing was available for the Dark Horse specifically, I purchased a 2’x5’ sheet of the mesh and after watching the instructional videos on their website had a pretty good idea of what was required and did all the work myself.

Apologies @Cobrakit , I didn't see this. I use the widest body panel removal tool I can to pop those clips out. Some are shaped like a narrow putty knife, some like a mini crowbar, but, they're plastic, so you won't run as much risk of marring up your trim as with a sharp screwdriver.
