I think the biggest reason to DH is the HP with the much larger better wheel/tires...

But then we debate to get the GT with HP and add larger wheels/tires.

This is a discussion forum and we are discussing, Buy what you like and live to the fullest

I would definitely get the Dark Horse if it had the front of the GT.

I didn't like the 650 GT when it came out, especially the rear. But for some reason, after exactly 1 year, I now like the 650 GT way better than the S550.

I didn't like the look of the Dark Horse either at the beginning and I still don't like the Dar Horse front.

Those black raccoon plastic things are reminding me of video game vehicles that don't exactly look like the real counterpart.

I also dislike the design of the lower air vents on the front of the Dark Horse, compared to the "partially" fake air vents on the GT.

That made my decision to buy the GT easier and more affordable.
I had the exact same thoughts on the looks of the DH. To me the front of the DH looks ok on the dark colors, but I wanted race red, and I did not like the look, which to me resembled the front of a Honda Civic.

I looked at the DH, but couldn’t justify the extra money for an automatic when I really preferred the look of the GT. I didn’t intend to track the car when I bought it, but now that I’ve started tracking, I’m still happy with my decision. I do have Steeda springs and away bars, them had to add a differential cooler since the axle was overheating on the track, but now it’s a very good track car at least at my beginner level.

Thats my point: if you load a GT with the options you get on a base DH you get too close to its price and still not get a lot of stuff. A GT is worth it only skipping a lot of options.
You are correct. Unfortunately, some folks just don't understand math.

I had a GT PP ordered as close to the DH as I could get. It was $63,035 and the DH was $68,020.

To me 63 and 68 are not close in price. I consider close 1k. But that is just me. I usually buy at the top of my comfort zone.
