No no, you were writing "Americans in general", "must be an American thing" and so on.

Admit it, now that you moved to Europe, Europe must be best 😜
I'm European and born in Europe.

Doesn't prove my main point wrong though.

Btw, don't want to fight you ;)

+1.

As of right now, I would give the edge to the G87 M2. If Ford incentivized the DH so its market selling price was below $60k, I would give the edge to the DH.
That was my train of thought.

A few comments.....yes sometimes....I wonder how they are getting these dyno numbers......
Motor Trend got 494rwhp on a stock GT350 lol - yeah I know thats not right either
https://www.motortrend.com/news/2019-ford-mustang-shelby-gt350-dyno-results

So I have driven all 3 cars ......

1. The Dark Horse steering feel is MUCH superior to the GT (you dont think you are paying all that extra money for 14hp do you?)

2. I REALLY wanted to love the C8 but it was just .....numb......it was VERY quick but it was just.....soft/ too refined.....it went around corners fast - it accelerated fast - but the feels were just not there....

3. The BMW.....they have just lost their magic from years ago in my mind....I loved the E30s ...such incredible drivers car.....but they have just lost a little something - and the Dark Horse engine note is just far superior

My ranking would also be Dark Horse first ..... and ....well Im going back and forth on whether I would put the C8 or the BMW in second..... probably make the C8 second because the windshield/ view exc. is cool
Spend 40$ in front camber adjustment bolts, another couple of hundreds in an performance alignment to decrease the front camber to ~-1.5 /-1.7 and you get the same steering feel of the BH in a GT PP. For me only the tremic is a real game changer (but I drive an automatic… so I got the GT :))

Coupe with a back seat… that’s the class.
Those are the only 2 on the market in that price range.
Maybe m4 but you’re over $90k
When I was in the market to buy a new sporty car, I was also considering a Subaru WRX even thinking of the STI, which is no longer made. Although is a 4 door, it could still handle 4 people with groceries unlike the vette. My wife was the deciding factor on that.

Always thinking about simplifying my life at this advanced age by thinning the herd a bit, so I went and briefly looked at a new Z06 last weekend. I got down to three Mustangs from four on a 2-for-1 trade in December and I was thinking maybe another such trade would get me down to two sports cars from three. I’m glad I looked but now I’m not quite so sure.
*No manual available.
* The Z06 is a lot harder to get in and out of than my HP Dark Horses. A LOT!
* I felt claustrophobic once inside.
* To me my Mustangs sound MUCH better, at least in track mode where I roll. The Corvette sounded like a cross between a big Mercury outboard running out of water and somebody pi$$ing in a bucket. Not at all that big bad American V-8 sound I crave.

Used as a DD I think the Mustang is a better choice. And I think it’s much better looking than the Corvette but that’s subjective of course. When I walked in through the gaggle of idle sales weasels one of them remarked ā€œHey you’re not actually thinking about trading that for a Corvette are you?ā€
