GT 350/ 500 are trademarked by Shelby Mach 1 is owned by Ford. Now seeing Ford and Shelby have gone there own ways. However Ford just retrademacked "Boss". So logicly the next one down the shut will be most likely be a BOSS of some kind.
Not only did they trademark Boss they also trademarked Dark Horse Boss. I do believe that all the spy shots we have seen and most people think its a GT500 are wrong. It will be a Boss or Dark Horse Boss with that new engine.

Hardly anyone believes that the GT500 successor will be called GT500 but it's the best we can call it atm. It also shows how much better GT500 is compared to Boss, Cobra and what not. Everyone in the world understands that GT500 is above 350 and above a GT. No one (outside some old school fans) knows what Boss or especially Cobra stands for... A snappier version? An overall superior top of the line product, a trim line?? They have been all of it in the past, diluting the name...
The next GT500 successor will most likely not be called GT500 but judging it by its possible names it has a lot of work ahead of itself in terms of making a name for itself.

There is no “most likely”. Without an agreement between Ford and Shelby American there will no longer be a Ford GT350/500.

'most likely' in terms of 'we don't know the specific name right now so at least there's a .1% chance that it's going to be called GT500 but most cetainly not' ;-)

The people saying “ford can’t call it gt500, because Shelby deal”

come TF on…. It’s FORD GD MOTOR COMPANY.

they can do whatever they want, I don’t care what it’s called, but let’s not act like a 40Billion dollar company can’t get a deal done

Shelby of America isn’t making a GT500 are they?

Personally I wouldn't rule anything out. I just don't think this is our GT500, it doesn't look like the full package yet. I could be wrong though - I don't know what Ford is planning to do with this car.

I was driving my friends 20 GT500 last night, the DCT is just so different, I prefer my 10r80 with a Tq converter…. You can actually feel the clutch engaging as you roll out on the DCT … super cool tech

Oh they can but……….they will wind up in court so fast writing millions of dollars to Shelby American and still writing SA a check for every one they sell.
Without a contract with SA there will never be a GT500. Same thing is some tuner company or SA makes a Cobra Ford will have them in court faster than the car.
With that said Ford CAN ink a contract with SA and it’s all good. That has not happened yet and doesn’t look like it on the horizon either.

My 2022 was a different animal just like my mid engine C8/DCT is just a different driving experience.

Ford does not own the trademark for GT 350/500 Shelby does so if you see a new GT500 it's from Shelby not Ford. Both have gone their own ways and are not together anymore.

Sir, that is an all-consuming statement saying the Bimmer is a better quality and a better buy.
Something is only better quality if it doesn’t break down as often or needs less maintenance. Having had several M3’s, I cannot vouch for them costing less in the short or long term. Couple that with what the value will be after 1-5 years and you get closer to discerning value. I would not trade my 350 for a Dark Horse, but I would think the Dark Horse is a better value than the M3. You might be comparing performance for the $, but these are two different cars. Just as a Camaro is culturally different than a Corvette, the Bimmer is culturally different than the Mustang. If you identify more with Budweiser than an IPA, get the Mustang. If you like white wine and Ray Bans, get the M3.
Personally, I love my blue collar friends and now much more identify with Mustangs. They kick a**!

But what do you get if you like what white wine does to the wife while wearing ray bans? But otherwise the mustang might just out quantify the bavarian mustang wannabe simply by the availability of aftermarket support.

Thanks guys. It is true that lack of quality and availability aftermarket parts than M3s.
interior quality plastics and cheap parts (which I can get over with) oem trunk tray, Ford put piece of cardboard.... some mustangs exterior panels are not lined up and saw some gaps .
MSRP: $86K M3 to MSRP $79k mustang.
Don't get me wrong, I am not talk down on Mustang. It is fact that they use cheap parts compare to price that they are charging.
I am just on the fence, may be because used to BMW.

Ha! We’ll, Mama always said not to argue with an intoxicated woman, so I will refrain..
I really appreciate the engineering of the Corvettes and the looks/performance of the Porsches. Though I am able to own any, I choose the GT350. It speaks to me. My point in all of this is that your car should speak TO you, and if not, it should al least speak about you.
