Hi,
Please share your experiences with these brands regarding tyre noise on coarse chip bitumen, ride comfort, grip and steering sharpness.
Thank you for your responses & happy driving.

You might get something out of this...

This guy is a tyre review freak!

Tyre Reviews said:
I put the brand new Pirelli P Zero PZ5 against the top performance summer tyres on the market - Michelin Pilot Sport 4S, Continental SportContact 7, Bridgestone Potenza Sport, Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6, Falken Azenis FK520, and a budget Sunny option.

I've got new wheels and Michelin Pilot 4s tyres coming, so I'll find out in about 2-3 weeks - I have found the OEM Pirelli's have been pretty good though.

I was going to swap to PS4S's almost immediately but then once I tried the new OEM Pirelli PZero PZ4's I found them pretty good. So I'll finish them first.

Agree the Pirelli's are surprisingly good, including in cold and wet British winter conditions. If you're confirming they're also good in hot and dry conditions (it was 25 degrees C here yesterday and stuck to the road like glue, but that's not really that hot), then they sound like a great all-rounder.

Why are you not looking at Continental Extreem Sport Contact 2s? Those are directly comparable to the MPS4s.

The Sport Contact 7 are made for German cars.

I'm only changing tyres because I am going to 20" rims - otherwise I would have been more than happy to stick with the Pirelli's. My wheel guy offered a good deal on PS4S tyres with the rims, and I haven't heard any negatives about them, so I said yes.

What sort of rims are you getting? Are you going wider, staggered or square setup?

I'm in debate with myself about switching once the Pirelli's are done.

Probably worth its own thread
