Power kW outputs (claimed) in Australia vs USA and New Zealand

Ford Australia has stated that they (falsely) claimed 347 kW for the GT instead of the 345 kW now advertised. What did Ford do to get compliance in the Australian market and HOW did they achieve this result?

We lost 17 kW somewhere in Australia, if anything is to be believed. Ford in NZ is still claiming 362 kW on their website.

Can anyone comment on this?

At the original release of the 347Kw AU Specs, I contacted Ben Nightingale at FoA, who claimed that it was simply a different measurement scale ie NET DIN in the Aust Vs Gross DIN in the US. However on investigation that statement proved incorrect, as both US & AU use NET DIN.

Furthermore this was simply debunked with the minimal difference between the previous AU model FN @ 339KW vs the US 343 kw (460 hp), representing a 4 kw loss or 1.17%,. This is further debunked by the introduction of Bidens much stricter envionment / Green Emissions restrictions in the US (which actually dropped the power to 450KW). Therefore the US 2024 GT gains 36Hp over the 2023 even under the new US Emissions restrictions.

The current scenario is:

Australian Version of GEN IV Coyote – Neutered ANOMALY OF LOST 17.4 kw

Australian Version of GEN IV Coyote – Neutered (up 6kW but @ + 250 Rpm, but down 6Nm from 2018-23 Au FN GT )

Power 345kW @ 7,250rpm (Down 17.4Kw from US S650 @ 362.4Kw (-4.8%) – Plus 6 Kw @ + 250 Rpm, on previous FN)

Torque 550Nm @ 4,850rpm (Down 16.7Nm from US S650 @ 566.7Nm (-2.95%)–Down 6 Nm @ + 250 Rpm on previous FN)

A bit late to this. But yes, we denizens of the Peoples Rebublic of Nu Zild do get the full fat 362kw "mercan spec Coyote.
We don't get choice of spec, but what we get is pretty good. PP and high spec interior
