Cigarette Lighter Port

My second 2024 Eco Premium with a cigarette lighter port cover that won’t stay closed. Dealer replaced on first car but made it worse. On record by Ford technician.
I close it leaving to work and it’s open by the time I get home - 15 minute drive.
Ford has removed the charging pad for 2025, maybe a fix is coming?!
Anyone have issues?

Mine pops open from time to time as well. No idea why.

Mine never pops open. I can put my phone on the charger and remove it with no issue.

That’s good to hear! Mine pops open and I don’t use it! Super frustrating!

I have to admit... I didn’t even notice the cigarette lighter port & cover until this post :-|
Maybe just pull the cover and replace with a usb type charger adapter.

My 2024 lemon was a custom build vapor blue and port always open. Tech said was worse after it was replaced!

I can never get mine to stay shut. Grrrr. I'm about to the point of applying some tape of some sort cause I'm not a smoker.

Same! But Ford should come up with a fix. Love my car but overall quality is not there -interior.

I had a wife like that once.... not really, but I do understand as I have a similar issue with my 2019 Ranger. The only time it bothers me, is when I look at it. If I do what the local DMV wants me to do, I never notice it. After all, the road is more important that a hole, not matter what it is!

Take the cap and either wrap a single layer of electrical tape around the section that is supposed to grab the socket or take some needle nose pliers and deform the edge of the plug ever so slightly so it grabs when you insert it.
