Started out with nothing since mine didn't come with the performance pack. Thought it needed one since all the best looking mustangs that I've seen (in my opinion) have them.

Ordered and installed an MP Concepts chin spoiler/splitter to have at least something there. Decided it was too aggressive looking, and used my FordPass points to order and install the Air Design version instead, which I really like.

I considered the RTR spoiler, but it sticks out too far for my liking, and the Air Design has been a perfect fit for me. I think it's the same exact one that comes with the performance pack anyway; if so, kudos to Ford for using it.

My wife likes the Air Design option best too, although I can't take her feedback without a grain of salt, because she likes how Lamborghini Murcielago looks, and dislikes how the Ferrari California T looks 🤣

Here are photos of all 3 from a similar angle for comparison purposes:

Looks good! I have the same splitter on mine. Just dissapointed it’s only held on by tape and silicone. Oh well, it’s holding.

I caved and ordered an Air Designs splitter. Not a fan of the tape but need something to go with the dark horse spoiler I just put on.

You’ll be happy with it. It looks really good. It helps to have a second set of hands installing just because it’s so long and you want it pushed up against the front of car as much as possible before settling down to set the tape.

Test fit first….some here got a defective splitter that didn’t sit flush with the car. One got a replacement sent to him.

Prep really well with isopropyl alcohol and 3M prep adhesion pads….including on the splitter where the silicone will go. The 3M tape is pre-applied, (if I remember right) so no worries there.

Get a good bead of the included black silicone in the designated area, but if you put too much on, it will gob out the top as you press down.

Don’t peel all the backing tape off the 3M tape at once. Just peel off enough so it sticks out at both ends, and slice it in the middle and pull the ends out there as well(in case the red backing film rips, you have another place to pull from. Set the splitter in place and start pulling the backing tape slowly away as a helper keeps pushing the splitter towards the car.

Don’t push down on the splitter as you pull the backing off the tape, it makes it harder to pull off. Once you get one full part of the backing tape pulled, then you can start pressing down more.

Expect an air gap underneath…about an inch or so. It is what it is.

I secured the very ends with a small bead of silicone, and that took a little flop out of the ends. It gave them something to hold on to. When you get the splitter on, you’ll see what I’m talking about.

Good luck….you’ll be happy with it!

Awesome. Thank you for all the advice. Installing spoiler was a little bit of a pain in ass. Getting all the old tape off was ridiculous, actually gave me more confidence in the Air Designs splitter. Lol

Oh man, getting the original tape off was awful. I tried floss but it kept breaking, so I tried string trimmer line, and it worked, but even though I taped off all around it I burned through my brand new car paint in 2 spots with the line. Ugh. I touched it up, and it’s OK.

The worst was lifting up on the stock spoiler and I heard a loud clunk. I later realized I had broken the 3M tape seal that held down the rear trunk module flush with the trunk. Ugh X2. I left it since I had already mounted my black out panel between the taillights…and would have to remove that to remove the trunk module to lay down fresh tape. I gave up. Good enough…

When you mount the front splitter, it should hit flush to the front bumper.

Thanks! You’ll really be happy with it. I just didn’t like all the other options. Some were so aggressive they looked like bookshelves. But the front needed something. I think this one is perfectly proportioned for casual driving.
