I spoke with DAR on the phone... the way the guy was talking, it sounds like they won't ever be making a 7th gen PP spoiler for either the convertible or the coupe. Just the 6th gen style altered to fit. (I still think it looks too "rounded" for the more angular 7th gen cars).

But they DO say they definitely plan on making this "Black Mamba" number for both the convertible and coupe:

https://www.darspoilers.com/product...mba-custom-2post-no-light-spoiler-2015-and-up

(Is this kinda like the '94-'98s?) The more I look at it, the more it grows on me. It seems relatively "flat", like the S650 style, and maybe a little deeper front-to-back. As long as it doesn't stick out too far on the sides... it shouldn't go out beyond the edge of the trunk. Hard to tell on these pictures. But it's another option to consider for us 'vert guys.

Has anyone found a rear spoiler that fits the convertible? I’ve done my stripes and I desperately need a spoiler.

Is there a factory blade spoiler that fits? Or would the performance pack spoiler fit? Thanks1

I measured the GT350 and the S650 deck lid seems to be the same width. They look like the same shape, but I don’t know for sure. One thing that may cause issues is the S650 3rd brake light. Take a look at the picture of the GT350 spoiler, it curves around the deck. Then look at the S650 convertible.

This YouTube video gives me hope… they install a GT Performance Pack style wing on a convertible:

The catch? It’s a $1300 carbon fiber clone. BUUUT… here’s a sub-$200 S650 PP wing on E-Bay:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/326289064455

For that money, I’d be willing to gamble. And if the third tail light clearance looks iffy (it’s not a problem on the carbon fiber one), then I suspect 3M tape would probably suffice.

I’ll be in the same boat when my 2024 ā€˜vert finally arrives. I really love the look of a wing-style spoiler. Keep us all posted on your progress! Love your stripes!

Mine came with blade spoiler. Does anyone know if the blade spoiler is mounted with locator holes in the deck lid or just double sided tape?

Yes, you will run into tabs on your blade spoiler inserted into holes in your trunk lid. Here’s another YouTube video of someone removing his blade to install an aftermarket replacement:

Stubby antenna is a must! LOL got the same lil shorty on my 2016 GT/CS. Size does not matter in this case. 🤣

I have the pedestal spoiler that comes on the CS pack and love it. For some reason Ford hasn't been putting spoilers on the convertible models in the last few years. Arguably the convertible version does not need a spoiler at all as it can screw up the aero... but visually I get you, I want more spoiler options for us vert folks too!

There will definitely be good aftermarket spoiler choices in the coming years. You can always do ducktail style which looks neat.

Now for sarcasm and a laugh... you could always do the park bench style spoiler.

Haha. I just signed up on this site because I saw your comment. I actually received my ā€œstubbyā€ antenna before I even picked up my, 10 miles on the dial, 2024 GT Premium convertible on Jan 1st. I actually talk to my stubby antenna. I will walk up to it and say things like, ā€œwhats up stubbles!ā€ I am still searching for the perfect rear spoiler, but my invention isn’t invented yet. It has to do with where the center break light is positioned on the convertible (hint).

Agreed, the stubby is a must! I like what Shelby did with their 2024 super snake convertible spoilers, but it doesn't seem like an easy mod. They talk about it in this video at about the 32 minute mark:

I finally got my convertible! It officially arrived 3/27, but will be in the hands of other people for a little while getting stuff done. Today, I got my PERFORMANCE PACK WING installed!

Prowling around E-Bay, I found plenty of PP Wing "OEM Take-Offs", where someone has upgraded to a Dark Horse wing, or something else. All the pictures indicated that part of the DECKLID remained attached to the PP spoiler. (See picture #1 below). THAT must be the main reason you can't get an OEM spoiler for the convertible, since the convertible has the third brake light in the decklid.

No fear! I found an aftermarket wing that mounts old-school from Extreme Online Store:

https://extremeonlinestore.com/coll...lid-wing-spoiler?_pos=10&_fid=33a516595&_ss=c

They offer Matte Black, Glossy Black, or Carbon Fiber look. At the time of this writing, they only have the Glossy available. Never fear, though... I spotted several other stores on E-Bay selling what looks to be the same thing.

I did NOT mount this myself, so I can't speak for how hard that is. It didn't take the body shop very long, though. I DID opt for the rear spoiler delete, so if you have a blade spoiler on yours, you'll have to work at removing that yourself. I HAVE seen videos of people doing that, so I know you can retain your decklid panel.

In my pictures, you may or may not be able to see that it appears to be ever-so-slightly angled backwards. DISCLAIMER: Mine is not yet completely affixed to the trunk lid. It is only bolted down, but WITHOUT the 3M tape pads underneath it at this time. My reason? After a couple more grill / hood vent / splitter upgrades, the next step is to get the car WRAPPED. No sense in having the wrap guys have to wrestle with removing the 3M tape.

It is my hope that with the 3M tape / pads underneath, it won't seem tilted backwards anymore. I can also have them try to put washers or shims under the rearmost bolts to raise it up a little. If not, it isn't horrible by any means. Otherwise, the workmanship seems very good.

The FINAL picture is a 6th gen Mustang wrapped in the same KPMF Glossy Indulgent Blue that I will be getting done. Sure looks a lot like the GTD Indulgent Blue if you ask me! (Sorry... no "beauty pics" yet... just these parking lot shots on a gloomy morning. Yes, that's my 2014 GT in the background. Look closely... it's a convertible! I have a removable hard top from Smooth Line. Unfortunately, they went out of business during covid when the owner died).

I'm sure I'll be posting pics once all the work is completed. I'll be sure to let you know if anything was able to be done to correct that slight backwards tilt.

P.S. - Yeah, I put a "Stubby" antenna on it, to make sure the spoiler cleared. It was my first mod, and I actually did it on the dealership lot before I had officially paid 'em!
