If you want to protect the paint PPF is the only way to protect it from rock Chips.
If the car is mainly garage kept the PPF should last up to 10 years and then it can easily be replaced.
Ceramic coating is a great paint protectant, but it will not stop rock chips.

Ceramic will stop some rock chips, but not like PPF.

Also got a ceramic coat last week. Looks and feels awesome. It's the first US spec DH registered in Germany. Was quite challenging
