Not really an incentive.. just delaying the inevitable

Depends. Cash buyers might like that for the three months of interest and potential sales benefits with dealers who like to sell financing (they always want to get their kickback, so they negotiate better).

The bolded is really the only scenario where I can envision this incentive being somewhat lucrative, although cash buyers can still do that any way.

As far as the interest as a brain exercise, if someone had $60K in cash saved up, that's maybe $750 they would gain. Not terrible, but not anything to do back flips over either.

I see it as an opening volley and a chance other incentives happen the further we get into production and rate hikes.

Ford credit has always had good promotional rates, I would expect them to do something for the 2024 Mustang. Hopefully this year, and not well after we all take delivery.

If they offer 90 day deferred depreciation, maybe. I just want a low rate

I'm thinking the same. If I have 90 days of no payments, that means I have that much more time to save some more cash and throw it on the loan. Come payment time I have that much more knocked off the principal, further lowering payments and interest

Take the three month gap , pay in 1 or 2 and use the one other monthly payment I budgeted for on front ppf or extras/comfort mods.

Im going with my Credit union unless they can beat the rate though.

They probably feel guilty...Because since we ordered the cars, the Fed has already increased the rates 3 times, and most likely the 4th one this week :). It means that even the best credit score holders of us will get hit by pretty high rates...unless they've already locked one. Ok, let's be fair. They're only liable for the 4th one :).

For those of us paying in cash, it means we can do it in increments over 3 months instead of all at once, which will make it much easier (More time to move cash/investments around)
