What issues were you having, I have iOS 26.1 and the issue I have is sometimes wont connect and sometime no audio, if i reboot the phone it fixes it.

I've had this issue since before iOS 26 intermittently, and it was specific to my Mustang. Works just fine 95% of the time on my Honda. I hope yours is fixed for good. Will wait and see what happens in the spring.

Updating now. Did not see any info about a CarPlay bug fixed.

I have been running 26.2 for several weeks and still have the issue. I did find if I cycle Bluetooth and WiFi it usually reconnects and issue is resolved

Yeah, I don't know if it's going to resolve the issue or not, but it never hurts to keep things updated.
It could be a problem with Ford's implementation of CarPlay also. My car is in storage for the winter so I can't check, but Ford does update Sync from time to time as well. Not something I've done on the Mustang yet, but have on several other vehicles I've owned. It's not especially fun to update IMO.

I have occasional Carplay issues where my phone shows up on the main screen but when I select it I get sent to the menue with Favorites and a bunch of other options but I never lets me select apps like Waze. So usually playing around with the posted screen fixes it.. So what are these 3 options actually for? I'm not finding it in the doc... I play around with various combinations and eventually things work. Sorry for the bad pic but I was facing into the sun..

The first two are Bluetooth phone and audio the 3rd is CarPlay I think

CarPlay works fine with my 2025 Mustang, but ever since I got my iPhone 17 with iOS 26, none of my vehicles with Sync 3 will work.

Most carplay issues can be fixed easily just go to settings general carplay turn it off and then on again and it should work

Carplay issues could be fixed by ford engineers or whomever they outsourced it to. Instead we the end user are expected to sit and wait once starting the car, finding out if carplay is going to work this startup, and intervene as necessary. An absolutely outrageous ask for a flagship vehicle.
