I bought the whipple CAI and tune. Daisy is more responsive, pulls strong all the way to the redline, feels faster and is more fun to drive. In track mode, I ran 0- 60 in 2.5, twice. Oh and seeing the gears displayed for the automatic is awesome! My favorite is the 10 to 7 downshift.
Did you install yourself?
Any observations on airbox size differences, inlet tube differences etc? By the pictures it all looks larger and long term that might be a better fit for my upgrade plans.

Yes I installed it myself, my first mechanical endeavor (a story for another time). The tubes are wider and more importantly r smooth. No wrinkles in the plastic to slow air down. The air boxes are HUGE. I found the left one tricky to fit flush with the MAF housing, it squeezes in next to the fuse box. Before the tune, the sound was improved and Daisy felt more peppy, more willing to rev. After the tune, the car felt lighter with more torque.

Thank you for the observations!

You’re welcome. I suggest you buy the kit from a supplier and not directly from whipple. They initially sent me the wrong parts and it took me some effort to convince their email-only customer service of the mistake. By the time I received the correct parts I used hardware from Home Depot and Amazon.

They also don’t list their parts/ hardware in any shipments. It felt like they’re geared to dealing with vendors more than individuals. They were accommodating, it just took time with overnight/ 2 day mail from California. I should have waited until I had all the right hardware, but I wanted the kit installed asap.

I'm going to be getting a tune soon and I'm trying to figure out if the $500-$700 cold air intake is worth it.
I've asked a few tuners and the answer is vague.
I can't find anyone that has tested a CAI vs just High Flow Filters and Carbon Traps remove with a tune or even without a tune.
To me this is would be what we need to know!?
Anyone have this data?

Also are all the CAI equally larger at the mass air flow opening?
Steeda says its the largest- I can reuse my Steeda filters and save a few$
Whipple Crusher- Looks nicest
JLT- cheapest but can't find anything regarding larger diameter
Just pull your carbon traps and install a hi flow filter of your choice and you will have as good as any aftermarket CAI and better than some.
You heard it here.

Dude. Are you seriously drunk when you post here?
Do both butterfly’s operate at the same time? Or is one the ‘primary’ and the second is used more in the upper range?
