Both RWD cars with high revving V8s. Outside of the country their manufactured in and two extra doors. I think it's a solid comparison especially considering the differences in driving dynamics and handling..Comparing apples to oranges
Yea - I've driven the turbo M3's - for me, they don't compare. Hope to hold on to it for a long time.Favorite generation M3. Nice! Shame they took the V8 out from the following models. I'm very jealous of your garage sir.

It's not a fair comparison, the BMW being like 20 years behind in technology.no comparison. The GT blows the M3 away. M3 can't keep up in the corners or on the straights. Not to mention cost of ownership. In it's day it was OK, now not so much.
New M2 and M4 are pretty fat now too, very similar to the Mustang in factThat picture tells me how large the Mustang has grown.
Hardly blown away aye, put modern tyres on the BMW and it'll be a lot closer than that.FYI : for those who think the 20 year old car can't hang ...
