Interesting, and I recognize that Love's station. Used to stop there on my frequent trips between Michigan and North Carolina.

I expanded the one picture where you can see a little of the plate because I was wondering if it had the "M" plate that Michigan issues to manufacturers. We see them often around SE Michigan.

But that looks like it is not a Michigan M plate and it has a dealer plate surround on it. My first thought was that Ford had it out being tested, but with no M plate and a dealer surround it suggests that is someone's personal Mustang.
This is a test car. But not Ford. That‘s a Multimatic car.

It will start life at the Ford Flat Rock Assembly Plant and then be transported to Multimatic facilities in Markham, Canada, where it will be handcrafted for racing-inspired precision by the Ford Performance and Multimatic teams. Mustang GTD will be available in late 2024, early 2025.

I thought you always liked the S650 so far or am I mistaken?
Most definitely have and still do, just not as a prospective buyer of the current iterations. Still keeping a close eye to see if any updates or new inclusions pop up. Just can't get excited about the GT or DH (strictly due to personal preferences about steering, features, engineering sameness to the S550, and pricing; they're still good cars)
