BCM update turns car into 2005 Escort.

So had the BCM update on our 24 that addresses the A.S.S. I believe.

Got into car , and EVERY sound changed. It lost the cool Heartbeat thump and now makes an annoying beeping like a cheap Ford escort from 2005.

I am kinda pissed off right now. I HATE the sounds that regular Fords always make , and now they ruined our Mustang with them.

So for those of you who never hear the cool thump thump .. thump thump noise anymore , this is why.

Do others still hear the Heartbeat noise still ?

Ok , So I drove it around and made a couple stops. It did the beeping everytime.

After I got home , backed into garage. I shut it off (maybe 4th key cycle)

For fun , I tried starting it once more before I hopped in my truck and go back to work.

Guess what , Heartbeat is back. lol.

So , I guess lesson here is it may have been updating in the background, and once it finished our Mustang found its personality again...

It's funny, because some here have posted that they hate the heartbeat and want to get ride of it.

My update did not change anything.

Dang , maybe you need to have it flashed again or its a location thing... ?

If they heard what I heard for a few start ups , they would change their minds quickly I think. It was the older Ford models annoying noises. Terrible.

I've lost the bongos twice after OTA updates. each time they returned after a couple of cold starts.

it really isn't a heart beat. Record it, duplicate it several times, and then play it at a higher speed. Sound exactly like an old oater running horse.

Personally, I want to get rid of the heartbeat/horse gallop b/c I think it might affect my subs. I'll know tomorrow when I get the car back.

I don't even know how to do that.
After I changed my side mirrors, the car lost the heartbeat sound and I really miss it.

Its just a theme sound when entering the car.

My first startup after the remote PCM update had that 3 tone Ford chime, but it was just that one time.

It's like a chime that plays when you first get in the car. It's supposed to be a gallop I think.

Not sure what going on with this guys car that he has two versions. Its supposed to sound like the 2nd one in this clip-
