You want to see the Corvette guys get their parties in a twist. Tell them that their car looks like a transformer had sex with a praying mantis.I'd never knock a thread BUT this constant recurring talk about corvettes - isn't there a forum for delusional corvette owners, somewhere?????......I don't care how much faster a friggin' corvette is. My friend has one I have accompanied him to their coffee and cars ...... looks like a bunch of seniors playing with transformer toys. Effin uglier every year. Then I start my GT to leave and and they all turn around - I bet, until they see the stang, they all wonder who got his 'vette to sound so good. I used to like corvettes but the last decade - effin ugly junk. Give me one and I wouldn't be seen driving it - put it right up for sale and buy a real car ..... Mustang GT.
Vestappen rated it. Can't get a better review than that.GTD gets smoked on multiple tracks by multiple drivers...
MEET US ON THE RING DOOD
You've missed the point a bit. If it's good on that track, it'll be really great on the road. You can't say that about many other tracks.I think it’s fun and interesting to compare ‘Ring times, but people act like it’s the be-all, end-all of car performance when in reality it’s just one data point. Also, most Americans—even those that track their cars domestically—will likely never have the opportunity to drive the Ring. I can’t get too fussed over a car’s performance on a track I’ll likely never drive versus its performance on tracks I can actually take my car to.
Equating racetrack performance to road capability with these higher-end modern performance cars is a bit nonsensical, IMO. The car may be great on the Ring or my local track, but you'll never be able to push these cars past 4/10ths for more than a second on a public road unless you're going in a straight line. You've missed the point a bit. The Nordschliefe is a real road, it's bumpy, long and hard to fully learn. Road rules apply for cars and drivers depending if it's a TF or trackday or race day.Equating racetrack performance to road capability with these higher-end modern performance cars is a bit nonsensical, IMO. I usually say something like "your Crocs don't match your white socks".You want to see the Corvette guys get their parties in a twist. Tell them that their car looks like a transformer had sex with a praying mantis.![]()
But the GTD is already "SC'ed"Who knows maybe GTD SC? That would make me drool!
Of course!! We already knew that and I was wondering if they would double the “Horsepower” on the next GTD?But the GTD is already "SC'ed"
