This is all classic Ford when they want to get rid of a car. Ford either does cheap ineffective updates or raises the price. I think the plan is to bring out the four door Mustang then kill off the two door because of poor sales.

Is anyone really surprised

Overpriced
Lateral generational changes
Locked ECU
Minimal aftermarket, much smaller community

They screwed this one up, was DOA when they announced pricing, then super DOA when they raised pricing before it even hit dealers

And super super DOA after they continue to raise YoY pricing

Ford got lazy, tried to cut costs in as many places as possible by carrying over as much as they could and really hedging their bets on some inexpensive but flashy screen gimmickery, while jacking up the price to get a piece of the ADM pie when sh*t was hot and in favor of suppliers. Their competition died off and they got lazy

I hope their sales continue to suck. They did this to themselves

They spit on their fans this gen. Karma hurts

Lol. Lmao even

Sales were definitely down for the 24s. I looked up dealer inventories in the Dallas Fort Worth area and they're quickly running out of GTs, yet many Ecoboosts are available. I actually just picked up a 24 DH Premium with Tremec, and ember blue 10k miles. Didn't really want a Premium, but who's to argue on a great deal. Might even sell my GT.

Not sure why everyone gets their panties in such a bind about a decline in sales. All it means to me is that my S650 is a little bit more unique, uncommon, and special on the roadways. I'd rather people look and say "Wow look at that Mustang!" instead of "Eh, just another mustang"

I'm loving my S650 especially due to the fact that it's one of the few Brittany Blue's that were built!!!

Just looked it up. Was on a 2025 60th Anniversary, and S550s. Nice color. Just picked up a 24 Ember Blue DH Premium with low miles. Wish they still had Atlas Blue.

Because if sales keep dropping they won't make Mustangs anymore.
I may sell my WhippleD GT and get an Ecoboost HPP. Since I bought a Dark Horse Premium and will Procharge it. Why have an extra car sitting around. Or maybe find an S550 , maybe a Bullitt. Lots of used Mustangs around just waiting for a new owner. šŸŽ

I agree with oppolock. People like me are who Ford needed to cater to...not the focus group types who convinced them they would buy it if it had screens etc. with zero intention or means of actually doing it. I have the means to trade and buy a new one. Heck my Ford dealer tries to put me in a Dark Horse every time I get my Mach 1 serviced. However two things will keep that from happening: 1) absurd price ($70K is C8 $) and those 2) those damn screens. I think the ECU is a big one for 6/5th gen owners too. Until Ford course corrects on these, S650 will continue to flop. Maybe the rumored GT500/Boss will do what needs to be done.

Yep. I don't have screens at home, only computer screen, and don't need them in a car. Ford needs to build Mustangs without screens. As I mentioned before. Why not chips you can use on a hand held device that can be conformed how the driver wants them. Also unplug gable so some meth head can't steal it. Also all options could be stand alone. A person would be able to have their car made to their specs. A GT, GT Premium, etc.

The Mustang is worth every penny. I am GRATEFUL that it still exists. What are your other options for a fast V8? (None)

You’re going to spend $100K and UP on a comparable sports car with a V8. (Corvette, AMG Benz, then you get into exotics at 200K and up)

The base GT is what 47K’ish? Freakin bargain basement if you ask me. Sure if you spec up you can easily hit 60-65K but I’d argue that’s still a great deal in 2025 where your super average boring SUV costs 60K easily.

Yesteryear prices don’t matter.

The way things are going, I'm sure a GT will be $100k in no-time.
