Over small bumps (very small) or on rails, a squeaking sound occurs. The belt mechanism is lubricated, all the rubber seals are lubricated, everything between the rear shelf and the side pillars is lubricated, the seat hinges are lubricated, the trunk hinges are lubricated. All the joints in the side panels are lubricated. What could be causing the creaking?

I think you are going to have to sit in the back and let somebody else drive it to find the source. It is amazing how noises can sound like they are coming from one place but actually coming from somewhere else when you move position

I did:) The rear seats were completely removed, and the sound was coming from the trunk cavity on the right side, as if from the wheel arch. But the source was inside the car.

I only say that because it looks like you've almost all but exhausted looking at all inside areas.

I had that too. There's a foam adhesive strip between the metal where the back is attached, and plastic that is in the trunk. That adhesive strip is crap, and it comes unglued, and as a result you get metal on foam nasty squeaks.

What I did is I re-glued that strip with gorilla glue. I didn't take off the upholstery to do it, simply lowered the backs of the back seats, and it was easy to spot it. So your squeak is IMO coming from that metal in the back (where the hinges are attaching to).

As you can see in the video, this part is missing; we removed all the elements inside the car. Or are you referring to something else?

My bad, sorry. Check the spare tire, if it's loose--it can also make that noise. I'm out of ideas.

Sounds like a suspension component to me. The rear struts tuck up inside the rear quarters and could sound like it's coming from inside the trunk.

Well, today we swapped the shock absorbers, and the sound also switched to the other side. There are two options: either the shock absorber is defective or the upper mount is defective. We'll investigate further tomorrow. I've written to the KW manufacturer and will await a response.
