Well, I guess we are the two in the world that notice a difference so it must not be theory. It's more than the butterfly valve because they're wide open in Sport mode as well as in Track mode. I notice a driving difference not only from a stop but just driving in general.

But you're talking about the actual TRACK MODE being selected, not just having the car in Normal or Sport and then putting the EXHAUST on Track mode, right? Because the actual Track mode DOES alter throttle response. Just changing the EXHAUST mode though, doesn't seem to.

Those that have it know what it sounds like. When I put mine in Track Mode, it is a very little bit louder but it drives a little "crisper" for lack of a better description. The car seems to have a little more spunk. In Sport mode, the butterfly valve in both exhausts is wide open same as they are in Track Mode.

Question: Is there different transmission or engine programming going on when AE is in Track Mode? There's a noticeable driving change in my car.

Well, it definitely holds the lower gears longer as well. You'll get a bit worse gas mileage as a result, if anyone cares about that. I've made a custom mode based on sport that uses track exhaust and I can't tell any difference in the sound between that and Sport mode, so I'm curious about those valves being open all the way. Seems to me the difference is that if you're actually in Track mode the shifting and response is different. Sport does the same but a little lighter, normal is still...fast. The wet conditions mode is interesting as it definitely seems to tone things down by a good bit. Actually seems useful if driving in rough weather. Anyway, just what I've noticed or at least THINK I've noticed. lol

Ah, I see. I missed that. Yeah, apparently no one agrees. Whatever. Whatever FEELS best for any individual driver is what they should use. There's no rules about when or where you can use all these modes and customizations!

Just to clarify, some areas have really strict noise laws and you absolutely can be fined for violating them and even have your vehicle impounded for ongoing repeat offenses. so understand there are likely some rules about when and where you can use them.

Yeah, I mean rules for the drivers, outside of that. I have the button setup so I can go to quiet mode if needed and I also have it set on startup till 8AM and after 10PM just to be cool to the neighbors. All my neighbors have loud Harleys or other cars, so lucky me, I'm in a cool area.

Same situation. But I have quiet set from 9-9. My neighbor likes to warm up his 2500 diesel for about 30 minutes at 6am. So I know I’m not getting the most attention.

I have track exhaust and sport mode for my custom mode and use the Star button to swap back and forth from quite mode.

That's exactly how I'm setup most of the time. I do a lot of freeway driving and I've tried Track mode and it does respond differently, but no cruise control, etc. so I don't use it on the freeways for longer drives.
