I agree. I LOVE how my GT Premium sounds with the active exhaust. I like being able to make it quieter in case a cop gets behind me who might be a jerk about things. Peace of mind!Personally AE is my favorite option. I originally ordered my premium 401a without it but added it along the way and I'm glad I did. My experience with aftermarket exhaust systems has been that there is always a compromise. So for example for my 03 vert GT I removed the stock exhaust and installed a Magnaflow stainless cat back "touring" system. Not the louder magna -packs. So while it sounded great, many compliments, it droned at 2k RPM which was annoying. Also while the system was SS, the hangers / welds were not and they rusted out. Bottom line was yea, nice sound but worth it? Maybe not. I like my 24 Mustang exhaust and I get many compliments on how good it sounds. From my past experiences, I'm leaving it alone. Ford got it right this time IMHO.
The first time you do it, it revs. The 2nd time it REALLY revs.Remote rev? I didn't know about that.
Let the fun begin .
Was the car in park? I could never conceive of calling my Stang slow. I'm not advocating petal to the metal for anyone else, but when I do, slow would not be the adjective I would choose. Maybe borderline schizophrenic! As mentioned earlier, the Coyote will learn a whole new vocabulary as it matures. At approximately 2,700 miles, mine has reached the toddler stage and has learned to express itself with many new syllables and words. Very soon, I'm hoping it will speak in sentences! Don't pass up AE! It is so versatile! Glenn p.s. Next time test drive track mode in a tunnel, you just might scare yourself! It's going to take me a while to figure out how to drive this car again. Coming from a 400WHP Subaru WRX tR - just part throttle at 3000RPM slams you back into your seat.
My wife drove the Mustang and remarked how slow it felt.
She prefers the feel of the turbo cars - but that's why the Supercharger is going on it at some point in the spring.
Wouldnāt it be easy just to add the quad tips?I couldnāt get a GT without the AVE, helps with the cold starts in the morning. The car was made to have quad tips. Single tip exhaust does not look as good. It is not an option I regret getting. Aftermarket systems are pretty pricy for the S650.
no- donāt get me wrong- itās not a slow car⦠you just have to wind the mustang out to get the power. Was the car in park? I could never conceive of calling my Stang slow. Find a deserted, straight road.Wouldnāt it be easy just to add the quad tips?

Sheās just used to (as am I) being in 3nd gear at say 2500 rpm getting on an on ramp- and half throttle will push you back in your seat and take you to 16-17psi pretty instantly.
In the Mustang - and this is with all V8ās⦠if itās in 2nd or 3rd gear and youāre getting on an on ramp at 2500rpms- half throttle isnāt gonna do much.
just a different driving style- hard to compare a turbo/FI car and a V8 NA
also itās not a stock WRX- makes about the same Hp at the wheels being 500 lbs lighter (E85 with Flex Fuel Kit + 21lbs boost). That said- sheās temperamental as F and Iām tired of running down vacuum leaks and evap codes and CELās just to make the car fun to drive.
I assigned track mode to the STAR button. most awesome thing ive discovered on the vehicle thus far lol
Iāve currently made Track Mode my default AE in my Drive Profile, and put Quiet mode on the Star button.
Iāve decided I can be quiet in a hurry if I need to, and Normal and Sport Mode are just a milder flavor of funā¦.so why bother with those 2ā¦lol.
I donāt find Track Mode too loud for me inside. My Flowmasters in my 06 GT were much more annoying with the drone at a certain RPM. At least to my wife. She has yet to complain about Track Mode exhaustā¦soā¦..Giddyup.![]()

What is the "star button?"
