I notice a difference between all modes inside the car. The key here is you got to put your foot into it and get the RPMs up. If you're just cruising around at 2k rpms, they all sound the same.
It's going to take me a while to figure out how to drive this car again. Coming from a 400WHP Subaru WRX tR - just part throttle at 3000RPM slams you back into your seat.

My wife drove the Mustang and remarked how slow it felt.

She prefers the feel of the turbo cars - but that's why the Supercharger is going on it at some point in the spring.

I don’t have a manual, but I’m pretty sure you can get active exhaust as an option for the manual.
Yes you can, but I believe the remote rev option is only on Autos. Active Exhaust is available on both, but the auto rev with key fob I understand is Auto only.

Interesting video. Even in Quiet Mode it looked like it broke 86 db while revving.

Sport almost sounded a little raspier than Track. Screw it..I like Track the most anyway for throttle response.

Coyotes like to rev. And gears make a difference. If you get a non PP GT, the base gears could be 3.15. Definitely look at the window sticker before hand and check.

See this is exactly my issue lol. Looked at countless videos before test drove it- ZERO show the differences inside the car.
Ah, I see. Well, at least to me, I can hear a big difference from inside for at least some of the modes. With the windows sealed and radio on. I have my car set to start in quiet mode unless it's after 7AM and then again after 10PM. When it starts and is idling, if I swap the modes to my custom or sport, I can hear an immediate difference. A good bit deeper and louder. Same with Normal mode. Now, I can't tell much if any difference between Normal, Sport and Track in that idle mode. I do hear a good bit of difference inside the car between Normal and Sport, if I have a window cracked or down. Not really so sure I can tell a difference between Sport and Track. I believe the Sport mode gives you the full HP of the car as well as Track does. Only Normal and Quiet restrict that. Again, if I'm recalling what I've read properly.

Logic would indicate though, that if there is a noticeable decibel increase or difference from immediately outside of the car, you can notice at least SOME effect from inside the car.

Well when I get mine I’m going to do DB meter tests inside lol 😝

That would be interesting. Maybe you can record something and post the results? Would be very interesting just even from the standpoint of how much noise the sound dampening of the cabin provides.

Agree. And I love doing things like that so will be one of the first things I do.

I can do it again and repeat everything at say 5000 miles and see him it changes over time / break in etc

I wish I had a good way to record decibel levels as well. Getting a supercharger put on and I'm curious as to whether that will change the volume on my exhaust. At least in idle. Under power, more pressure probably makes sense to result in more noise..the question is how much.

I use something like this for my home theater equipment when calibrating- works reasonably well…

only thing mine doesn’t have is an average setting which would make it easier to be accurate, so you might look for one that does averages.

my DH, if I put it into track mode, even with windows up it's obnoxiously loud, especially if you floor it above ~3k rpm.

Everyone for a few KM around knows you're up to no good with AE in track mode.

Quiet mode is still a hair louder than I'd like. Normal is pretty good for a muscle car, Sport is good if you're out somewhere.

Car in track mode + track exhaust mode = lmao, pop pop bang.

You get a couple HP more with the AE in free flowing mode, and you can be courteous to your neighbours by not deafening them on cold start.

Sure you could put a more expensive aftermarket exhaust on it, but it's gonna be loud as shit all the time, which really isn't needed.

Especially once you boost it and get rid of your cats. AE will save your bacon by keeping the car just ever so slightly under the cops radar.
My thoughts, exactly.

My young daughter hates the Track Mode and asks me to put it on quiet when she is riding with me.

I like Track Mode, but it is loud and can be obnoxious while cruising on the highway.

I didn't think my iPhone would be all that accurate but then again, thinking about it more...it might well be! I'll check out the apps. My watch even measures levels. Goes INSANE when I'm on the range! :)
