Just take it to the closest Ford dealer. No need to take it where you bought it. NJ should have plenty of dealers.

Dealership service says that it must have been working when it left or it would not have gone out
I hope you didn't believe them. LOL.

I can not go back to dealership it came from, as they are in VA and we are in NJ.
That's one of the reasons I always recommend people buy locally. Chasing after those last few dollars will cost you far more in the end. We've purchased 14 new Ford/Lincoln/Mercury vehicles from the same dealership in the last 18 years. Almost every one was purchased from the same salesman - he retired, so we bought from his son. Anyway, buying a vehicle is far more than just getting the cheapest price. People don't understand the importance of building a relationship with a dealership. I've benefited far, far, far more over the past two decades by doing this. I'm the #1 non-commercial customer over this time period and it shows in every interaction.

No I do not believe them :-) This is only my second new vehicle purchase. ever. .The last one was my 2005 GT.The local dealer did not have the color /package/ interior options wanted.

So the A/C never worked? A dealer will check the A/C but only from the cabin as part of the pre-delivery checklist. These things can happen from the factory and barring any mechanical issues, the issue usually comes down to a poorly seated O-ring. The service department will figure that out quick once they get an A/C machine hooked up to it.

Simple... don't go down the rabbit hole of the A/C was working etc when the car was delivered.
It's not working now and you have a warranty.
Use it and tell them to repair it to factory standards.

We have an appointment on August 19th. Dealership service says that it must have been working when it left or it would not have gone out, and perhaps freon leaked during transport. Not sure if I believe that they really checked. I know warranty will cover.
I can not go back to dealership it came from, as they are in VA and we are in NJ. I hope it's an easy diagnosis and fix.
I called the service dept. In VA. again I thought perhaps he could contact someone in our area to get it in sooner. He said to drive with the windows down until it could be seen.
Hi there! I can look into mustang's AC concern on my end. To get started, could you please send a private message over with the name/location of your local Ford dealer and your mustang's VIN?

Just got my GT back from the dealer for the 2nd time for AC issues.

First time it just started blowing warm air. Dealer recharged the refrigerant and said it came low from the factory. Worked fine for awhile (6 months).

Second time it would blow cold on the passenger side (for a bit), but warm on the driver side. After driving for a bit both sides would eventually blow warm. Dealer found a leak in the AC service port valve. Replaced the valve and recharged the system.

Hopefully this was the fix.

Been a minute, but just for anyone else looking... The above didn't fix our AC issue. It's been back to the dealer around 5 times now and each time the refrigerant is empty. They've replaced various components, but after a few months it stops working again. Very frustrating.

I have had this same issue twice. The first time, they replaced the compressor and said they couldn’t pull a charge. Fixed for about a month. Took it to another dealer, they replaced the condenser. Hoping it fixes the issue.

My wife and I ended up doing a buyback with Ford for the A/C issue. I will say, to Ford's credit, this was a pretty easy process and I felt we were treated fairly. We ended up replacing the 2024 with a 2026.
