Hello folks, we did hit a warm 51° sunny day today February 4, 2024 and for the first time in this calendar year I tried using my air-conditioning system on my 300 mile 3 weeks old 2024 Ford Mustang, GT but I don’t know why my vehicle won’t blow cold air. I know for some of you 51° are considered cold weather, but we live here in eastern Washington and for the past 4 weeks we’ve been averaging 32° freezing weather. Some times -7°on a bad days.. anybody here have the same issues with air-conditioning system how would I know if I have a faulty air-conditioning system? What would I be looking for I try to set it at maximum cold but I could not get any cold air blowing just fan really weak, warm air coming out even though I set it up on AC MAX. I’m gonna try to make a short clip or video with my laser temp gun.. here’s my picture with my new car on January 14, 2024. Yes, we are covered on a blanket of snow. Cheers life is short. Keep it fun. Don’t forget to keep smiling.

Hello Ryan, I’m facing a same problem as you're. I live in a city called Saskatoon in canada and i just got my mustang eco boost this December but yesterday when i was driving back from my work and for the first time i try using my air conditioning system and it didn’t blow any cold air, i even try to set it up to the max settings and keep running my vehicle to feel some difference but it still didn’t work . I got a little scared as it’s a brand new vehicle and i wasn’t expecting something like that happening this soon. So I decided to call the dealership and explain the situation to them and they got me booked for April 18th. I try googling the situation and find this wonderful group, I saw your post and some other friends having same situation. I hope it’s not something too serious but still i am little disappointed from the Ford

They should be able to take care of you. Mine was in the shop for almost 3 weeks because we live in a small town.. right now I have no more issues ever since good luck with those don’t stress on that they will help you out.. specially it’s a brand new car you have warranty..

These AC systems are designed with little freon unlike systems of yesteryear which could take 4 to 5 pounds. If a small leak of maybe 1/4 pound the AC won't work to its proper potential.

Yup mine didn’t work this morning 2k miles on it. It sat in my garage for a week since I last used the ac. It just blew warm air. I can’t even hear the clutch kick on the ac compressor

Clutch will not engauge if the freon is to low. Low voltage to the clutch it will not engauge.

Yup. Your AC system is a sealed system. If it never has a leak, the refrigerant will never evaporate. So as long as the system is designed to far less refrigerant and doesn't leak, it will continue to work properly essentially "forever".

Post a few pictures with the new wheels. They look awesome! Glad you got the AC issue figured it out.

Hi there! Would you send us a private message with your VIN and dealership name and location? I’d like to look into this concern on my end.

Hello I joined this forum because of this specific thread. I searched new Mustang AC issues and it led me here.

I purchased a 2024 Mustang Ecoboost. I also own a 1965 and an 05 GT.
I took delivery of my new Mustang late last night. Drove it this morning ...brand new vehicle. 65 miles on it and AC will not get cold.
Purchased in VA and had it shipped to NJ. Dealership nearby can not fit me in until August 19th.

Welcome.

I suggest you take your brand new vehicle back to the dealership. You have a bumper to bumper 3 year / 36K mile warranty.

Shouldn't the AC be checked at the dealer before releasing the car to the customer.

I don't believe PDI includes testing if the AC works. I would say that would be something the factory should have done.

Welcome.

I suggest you take your brand new vehicle back to the dealership. You have a bumper to bumper 3 year / 36K mile warranty.
We have an appointment on August 19th. Dealership service says that it must have been working when it left or it would not have gone out, and perhaps freon leaked during transport. Not sure if I believe that they really checked. I know warranty will cover.
I can not go back to dealership it came from, as they are in VA and we are in NJ. I hope it's an easy diagnosis and fix.
I called the service dept. In VA. again I thought perhaps he could contact someone in our area to get it in sooner. He said to drive with the windows down until it could be seen.

The service guy said that freon must have leaked out during transport...or something else. As they would not have cleared it for pickup....we called to say they sold a car with AC not working and they said it's not possible. They know we are 5 hours away and have no recourse.
