@mrnavy2 ..... bondo and fiberglass will work fine with any medium, if you wish to. From your picture it looks like there are fibers where the break line is on the right hand side of the damage? If there are that is a composite material. I have not used any form of "plastic weld" but have used bondo for decades to repair all manner of damages. If the surface is prepared properly to accept them the repair area will be stronger than the material beside it. The boss (aka the wife) damaged the bumper of our GM a few years ago when backing up to a trailer with two jet skis on it. Her best friend's husband owned a GM dealership. They used fiberglass and bondo to repair the area. No matter how hard you try you can't see the repair. Bottom line, you have choices. New, used, repair. Sorry this happened to you. Good luck.

3M has bumper repair kits that have adhesive and backing pieces. You’d need to bevel out/smooth the damage, clean the backside, lay a piece of backing behind the damage and fill the void and sand it smooth. For your paint you would need to blend out. But keep in mind most bumpers are going to be a slight shade off from the metal parts because bumpers absorb paint. You will also need a flex additive for the paint since bumpers flex.

Hey all, looking for some help without going to the Auto Body Shop. I hit a sign last week on my front bumper. Let me know if there is a way to repair/hide it. Any help would be appreciated
I am in New Jersey.

that’s a bummer. That’s really rough to take
If you can take it to a body shop and pay cash.
It won’t be a hit on Carfax
Good Luck šŸ€
