Thing is considering the consistent adms for the full life of the gt500 ford would say that car was underpriced and the dealers raked all the benefit. Pricing isn’t a “cost plus” exercise it’s a market demand exercise.
True, it’s just sad the way things are heading. Do they really need to squeeze every single penny out of the fan base? Mustang used to be about bang for the buck. It’s on its way to being a very niche sports car instead of a common one

This is a company that (On the 2025 and up Explorer ST) cut the standard window pull up rear shade, and took away the memory function on the steering wheel, I'm sure there's more but what I actually know of because I own one. Penny pinching BS and the price never goes down as a result ALWAYS UP - Also, whenever you go into a Ford dealership around where I live the sales-scum are standing around smoking and joking they look at you like you have two heads and have no F'ing idea about the cars and products their selling, - clueless. When I bought my Explorer I asked the salesman what the bump up on the middle of the steering wheel was for he said "I don't know probably the turn signal indicators" he told me to put a piece of black duck tape on it if it bothered me... :punch: - It's a device that monitors the Blue Cruise feature of the vehicle and it's pretty important not to block it...!!!:explode: F'ing - I D I O T S

On the 2025+ Explorer they dropped the opening moonroof, rear storage tray, front cubby door, electric steering column, spare tire, rear forward deflectors (some models), 3.0L on Platinum and charging pad.

The tap dancing while reading Dark Horse threads is incredibly amusing. This simple fact is that Ford dropped the ball big time with the "Dark Horse" on pricing alone. No matter the semantics no matter the spin, the truth is, the Dark Horse is a f*cking flop that is waaaay overpriced. This SC version price is even more laugable.

As a close to comparison of the Dark Horse, and when Ford didn't have their head up their a$$, a fully spec'd 1993 Cobra (30hp over stock - not a laugable 14) ran $21,500. That's rougly 49k in today's dollars...

Word from the SoCal 6G posters is dealers in Cali are calling around offering up their allocations.

Obviously the markets can vary drastically in diff states but that’s not a good sign

Yup no one wants them - why would you ... When you can buy a 2026 Z06 2LZ, Convertible, fairly loaded NA, that will spank the daylights out of that SC for the same money - I'll take the Z06 and wear my shorts, sneakers, and white ankle socks, - while your looking at my rear plate

Bro a Z06 will get its ass waxxed by the SC, just stop.

They look and sound cool and that’s where it ends.
Unless a Z06X comes out with the AWD, maybe that could do something idk.

I’ve watched them quite a few times last summer, I have 2 friends that own C8Z’s, they both prefer their 500s for anything more than slow city driving.

This year with the ZR1s/xs no one cares.
Now they’re slow AND old, at least last year they were kinda new and sounded good

I owned (just recently) a 2025 Z06 and raced a 2022 GT500 (I know anyone can say that - I get it - but I did - and I did) blew the doors off him, beat him badly 3 times, the guy couldn't believe how fast the Z06 is/was. The Z06 is lighter, lower, and far more nimble unless that SC gets AWD you have no chance - and even then you would lose...- sorry 😢

Sold all my cars to clear debt to move my residence, only have a 2025 ST currently. After I buy a new property the first thing on my radar will be another Z06 was going to get an Mustang DH SC if I could - but not at the screw job dealer pricing structure that will be happening and i'm NOT BEGGING some F'ing scum bag dealer for the opportunity to spend $125K not happening. When I can pick up the phone and chose between 56 Z06's all around the same price. No arguing, fighting and clawing with unscrupulous Ford dealers, BS add-on's (tint, fake paint sealers, fake added warranty's) , ADM's, and all the other F'ing BS that comes along with Dealers ...

your SC prolly won't beat this either - X6 M Competition, AWD

I am a white collar professional with a good income, but reading your post make me feel like I am below the poverty line.

Relative deprivation, I suppose.

A close comparison? 🤣 Comparing a DH to a 93 Cobra is like comparing a Vietnam fighter to a fifth gen fighter. Yeah, its more expensive. But its significantly better in literally every single aspect.
