Hey everyone, I’m looking for some help diagnosing a front suspension issue on my 2024 Mustang EcoBoost (S650) base model.
I’m getting a clunk/thump from the front suspension when going over bumps. The noise happens consistently over rough roads and smaller bumps, not just large impacts.
I’ve already replaced:
The car does not have:
I’m currently suspecting the upper strut mount/bearing (FR3Z-3A197-B) because the symptoms seem consistent with a strut bearing or mount issue, but I wanted to ask if anyone else with an S650 has experienced this.
Questions:
Thanks for any help. I’d appreciate any suggestions before tearing into the suspension.

Questions:
- Has anyone had a similar front suspension clunk/thump issue on a 2024+ Mustang?
- Was the upper strut mount/bearing the cause?
- Are there any common S650 front suspension issues I should check before replacing parts?
- Are there any specific tests I can do to confirm the strut mount/bearing is bad?
Thanks for any help. I’d appreciate any suggestions before tearing into the suspension.
