There was an update last week. Since then a few weird things have been happening:

* Before - when you shut the car off, the radio stayed on until you opened the door. Now it's probably 4-5 seconds after I open the door until the music stops (I tend to play it loud so it was nice when it shut off as soon as you cracked the door).
* Before - a/c was always on, hot or cold. I'd set the temp where I was comfortable and be good to go. Now the a/c light is off and I have to turn it back on (not always but seems to be most of the time). I also now have to go into the "mode" icon I will call it to get air to blow on me. Before I had it on auto with 1 2 or 3 lines and adjusting the temp made it perfect. Now I have to go in and change that if I want air on me. I was cold this morning and could not get warm air to blow on me until I went in and changed it to vent. I have not ever had to touch any of these settings until this update was done.
* Lag - I don't have a specific example but many things that I choose on the screens now have a delay when you touch them. Not a long delay, but a delay nonetheless that is extremely annoying.
* Screeching noise when turning the volume up or down while playing music through my phone. This is NOT new, just thought I would throw it in there. It has done this since I have owned it (7 weeks now)

So am I losing my mind or has anyone else had issues? I figured this would be a good place to start

Thanks for listening

1) Normal / expected behavior.
2) You may need to recheck your climate settings on the center cluster. If you use auto, it should retain. The ’24 A/C controls are like the Pirate Code: They’re more like guidelines.
The AC will automatically come on regardless of settings, even without auto climate control engaged. If you set the climate to “last used” and shut down with AC off, you auto start and come out to a hot car. So make sure your climate control in the center stack isn’t set to “last used”.
3) Updates are completed “asynchronously”. That is to say, once the update is complete, there may still be background tasks running. Give it a few hours. if it still is lagging, consider doing a center stack reboot.
4) I’m not able to offer any suggestions on the screeching.

Hi there! I can look into your Mustang's concern on my end. To get started, could you please send a private message over with the name/location of your local Ford dealer and your Mustang's VIN?

Thanks for all that, preciate' ya

I did make sure last night before I shut it off, the a/c was indeed on. When I started it this morning, the a/c was indeed off. I did reboot the center screen last night. Either way, thanks again for the info

I too am annoyed by the change in how the accessory power is shut off. I preferred the original way where the accessory power shuts off immediately when the door is opened.

what was ambient temp? You’re in PA; generally close to H-burg so it was likely cold enough to not need ac.

My MDH is garaged, and the lowest it’s gotten overnight has been mid-60’s this month, but the garage is about 70-75, so my ac fires up each time.

Good point. My AC is always on set to 72 degrees. Sure the AC not needed if its below a certain temp ambient.

A simple solution is use your button on the steering wheel to set your temperature to set your AC to set your radio station. It’s not that big a deal.
To change the temperature is very simple on the touch screen.
Do you have an Owners Manual?
It can answer some of your concerns.
Good Luck.
🍀
We all need it.

You can adjust climate control using steering wheel buttons? How?

The same one you use to get Siri?? to change your radio stations etc.
You can use it for Car Play if your Apple 🍏 phone is on the Car Play?
Give it a try.

As someone previously said, this is normal behavior. SORT OF. If I remember correctly, when I first took delivery of my Mustang GT, I painstakingly went through every single option in the settings and I believe there was one setting where you could choose if the radio turned off the second the door was opened or if there was a 5 or so second delay. It shouldn’t be difficult to find if they didn’t remove it…. Good luck!

Anyone found the setting or a different solution for the radio-off delay, maybe a Forscan parameter?
Sucks big time.
