The auto parts stores do a chit job of "checking" batteries. 90% of the time, they a flunkies who don't know their head from a hole in the ground. I would trust one about as far as I can throw one, and I SURE as heck wouldn't trust them near my $70K Dark Horse.
Yeah, and the dealers are freaking awesome. Go in with a dead battery come out with 5 new problems

I’m glad this thread has gone in the ā€œglass half fullā€ direction.

You go ahead and trust the burnout high school dropout at Autozone. I'll take an ASE certified mechanic instead.

THIS IS THE THIRD TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED.

My Mustang doesn't start. When I first press the start button, it starts, but as soon as I switch it to "D," it turns off and doesn't start again. I tried for an hour in a 90's temperature and it doesn't start for god sake. As mentioned, this is the third time I've experienced this issue. When I check the status on the app, it says the vehicle status is good, but my car doesn't start. Is this some kind of joke to the Ford people, having this many issues with a car? The vehicle doesn't start, and the CarPlay doesn't work properly. Connecting your phone to CarPlay can be a huge task and sometimes it doesn't connect at all. Such a mess.

Do managers or higher authority folks read the threads here? The responses we get from Ford representatives here look automated. They simply ask for a VIN number and dealer information. Even when I take my car to the dealers, they don't know anything about the S650.

THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE.
When I first started using Car Play I used the usb cord.
after a few times the Radio recognized the source and now I just push the button that you used to get Siri and say CarPlay
or you can go to your phone, Apple phone music, songs and press OK on the steering wheel a little tricky things you have to learn.
but ,
If you say CarPlay, your song will come on, but they will not Shuffle They will play the songs in alphabetical order as they were recorded.
its kinda Tricky but easy to figure out after a few times being frustrated. Just have to play around with it. Good luck.

i know this thread is old, but if there is other lights on like the BRAKE light, traction control, and all that, this is likely an ABS module issue. there is an SSM out for this where the solution is to re-program the ABS module, and it will be covered by the 3yr/36k mile bumper to bumper warranty. the SSM i am talking about is id 52716 - "Intermittent No Crank/No Start Condition With Various Lost Communication DTCs Stored In Various Modules And Multiple Illuminated Warning Indicators Displayed In The IPC"

Car Play is very simple to use.
I have an Apple šŸŽ Phone ā˜Ž.
when I first tried to use Car Play it was frustrating.
First I had to connect the USB cord to my phone.
Go to the phone library .
Hit Songs and Shuffle. Select a Song from your Playlist.
Sometimes I have to hit the OK button on the steering wheel.
You can also use the Siri button
Push the button & say CarPlay.
please remember you have to go on your phone to your playlist & choose a song.
If you don’t it will not work.
i’m not very articulate once you get the hang
of it. It’s pretty simple.
After using the USB cord a couple of times you will no longer need the USB cord.
