S650 Mustang 2024 Mustang Ecoboost from PA Auto Show 1675400677444

Money shot for the door surfacing for sure, also that rocker sill blade looks good how it picks up the showroom lighting. That's a neat little restyling of the outgoing look

What'd you think about it after seeing it in the metal

I like it, however, I like it as a refresh or as you put a 'restyling'. I say this is no different than what occurred from 86-87, 98-99, 09-10, 17-18. I am not sure how this merits it own designation as the '7th generation'. I own a 17 Ecoboost and was excited to see the 24 Ecoboost in person, but I cannot justify getting back into a car payment for a car that I cannot purchase with a manual transmission. Maybe that will change, but I doubt it. And while I did not get to see the interior, I am not a fan of large screens. Overall, I think this is a clean and crisp look for the new Mustang and prefer the smooth lines of the Ecoboost as compared to the GT.

I must say the grey sure makes the side profile look nicely sculptured . The lighting at the show enhances the design features. Hopefully Ford will offer a manual trans in the future for the Ecoboost .

I noticed the chrome inserts over the exhaust tips. Kind of cheesy. That's something Chevrolet would put on the Camaro. This is what it should look like.

Probably cheaper for them to have an unfinished tip wrapped in a rolled-tip cover than to mass produce double-walled tips like what you posted

If the customer goes for the optional Active Valve Performance Exhaust for the EcoBoost, maybe it gets different chrome tips.
