Damn! Sorry to hear about your Mustang! 😟

If your EB exhaust is like the ones I had on my Focus ST and Focus RS; the majority of the system is a single exhaust that only becomes dual at or behind the rear axle. Did the schmuck rear end you? Causing damage to the dual part of your exhaust? If so; weren’t any/all damaged exhaust parts replaced during the repair?

If it were me I’d have some one sit in the Mustang and rev the engine a bit while I stood behind it with something light (like a piece of paper/tissue, etc) and hold it the same distance from each side’s exhaust tip to get a visual reference as to how far the paper/tissue is being blown by the exhaust.

When you say ā€œthe Ford dealerā€ says it’s normal; who exactly is telling you that? If it’s the Service Rep; I’d politely kick it upstairs to the Service Mngr, then the General Mngr, then the owner if need be. Beyond that you might wish to contact Ford Customer Service in regards to the issue. And, your insurance company if you’re convinced one side is partially blocked.

Good luck getting it sorted! šŸ‘

If you do discover additional damage, this should be brought to the attention of the insurance company of the person who hit you. If the exhaust system is damaged, the body shop should have repaired or replaced this item on your vehicle when they originally did the repair.
